Great Accommodations for the price. Super location in center of city. El patio restaurant is good. Thanks to Pedro in El Patio, who provided excellent service. Wish the had a swimming pool. Good work our room. Receptionist, Elizabeth was a huge help.

Good central location downtown. Delicious Costa Rican breakfast included at the hotel restaurant, and convenient spot for pre-dinner drinks. Parking in secure garage. As another reviewer noted, upcharge $23USD for more than one guest in room even if two queen beds.

The location is great, right in the city center, and it is clean. However it is not comparable to a 4-star hotel. They charged me for a visitor even if I booked a double room. It is not good value for money.

This hotel is absolutely disgusting. The room had stains on the walls and the bedding and grime around the fittings. Not only is this unpleasant, but also a health hazard as the room had obviously not been cleaned for COVID, or in fact at all. Lights also did not work. The view from the window was directly into the next room. In addition, the hotel is not as advertised in that all the decor is old and worn in the common areas, and the entrance is through a car dealership/mechanic workshop with a padlocked steel gate. The hotel is in a dangerous part of town. After seeing the room, I went back to reception and asked for a refund, which they refused to give.

We were without a vehicle, so this was ideal for us. You can exit the hotel right onto the pedestrian mall. Turn right to visit the Museo de Oro (about two blocks, enter plaza, descent the stairs) or turn left for the Museo de Jade (about three blocks). Our room was fairly basic and the layout of the hotel is rather convoluted. The rooms had a safe. We had dinner in the restaurant twice and breakfast once. Important: IF YOU USE THE SECURITY LOCK, YOU NEED TO DISABLE IT BEFORE LEAVING YOUR ROOM--IF NOT YOUR KEY CARD WILL NOT WORK WHEN YOU RETURN. The staff are very good about helping with this, but best not to need to return to the lobby for assistance.
