We stayed here one night before flying back to the Netherlands. The hotel is located at a quiet spot next to the park. Very friendly service, small room and bathroom but everything was clean and in good order. The breakfast was good and the pool area very relaxing (especially the birds love the pool for taking a bath). Really good value for money!

A Boutique Hotel close to the action. Around the corner is a local casino which my wife participated. The neighborhood in the evening is not good and you would need to be cautious at night. All other amenities were great. The breakfast is just as good as the local Sheraton. Please remember this hotel IS A GREAT VALUE! I will be back.

Like in any big city around the world, certain basic precautions must be taken, but in a general sense, Sabana is one of the booming and recent residential areas, with good security. This is a very nice clean and friendly hotel. The pool is beautiful and long enough to do laps. Breakfast is very good. The best thing about this hotel is the staff that go out of their way to be helpful and friendly. Conveniently located, walking to restaurants and nice park. 20-30 minute walk to museums. I highly recommend this hotel.

The Aparthotel is the hotel we always use because it is an incredible hotel. We love the idea that we can always have a meal right in the hotel room. Each room has a refrigerator, microwave, utensils, dishes and glasses and a table and chairs. The free breakfast is delicious. All the staff is friendly and helpful.

Actually we did not intend to visit San Jose and finally I had to spend 2 nights there, because on my way to the airport my passport and backpack had been stolen out of the car during a short visit to a supermarket in Quepos. So I had to stay 2 more nights until Monday morning before the German embassy was able to provide me with an emergency passport. La Sabina had been recommended by the German embassy and it was a quiet and peaceful location in a residential area of San Jose. The hotel offers a nice pool area in a small peaceful garden and the breakfast was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. A supermarket is close by and of course the park and the stadium offer relaxation. San Jose is a short and cheap taxi ride. I took a "free City tour", which was excellent and I learnt a lot about the history of Costa Rica.
