Was nice while it was open. Not a Tastee Freez -- owners let go of the franchise years ago. Called it the Great Alaska Freeze. A lot of the menu items were very similar to Tastee Freez .

This restaurant is located just west of the junction to Valdez with a gravel parking lot, which is not unusual for this area. From the outside this looks like a typical fast food joint. The food, however, was of higher quality. The grilled chicken sandwich was very tasty. The fries and strawberry malt were also good. We stopped in about one p.m. and there were about eight orders ahead of us. They warned us at the counter that the wait for food would be about fifteen minutes, so that gave us time to gas up the car next door and then return to eat. They accept cash and local checks only and they charge 25 cents for a cup of water.

The name of this place is now The Freeze. They dropped the Tasty part quite a while ago, probably to save franchise fees.

Worn down fast food place that is basically the only fast option in Glennallen. Interior has seen better days and is rather raggedy and worn.

Outside signage is broken and tilting and you can see where they painted the "Tasty" part out of the sign.

Food is OK for fast food. Burgers had miniscule slice of tomato both times I ordered.

Hamburger is $6. Fries $4. Shake $6. $16 is pretty high price for what you would get in Anchorage for $10. Everything here is expensive.
Hamburger was decent size and had hand formed patty. Frozen Sysco fries. Shake was pretty good though.

Good service from employees.

As you will have no other choices for hundreds of miles in any direction, not that bad of a choice.

Friendly staff, food was good. The milkshake hit the spot that day. Too bad they don't accept plastic.

With kids in tow, we wanted something familiar for them so we figured old fashioned burgers and fries. It didn't disappoint. Chicken fried steak sandwich was awesome! Price each were a little high but nothing new for Alaska.
