We'd passed this place a few times thinking it wasn't a bar serving alcohol (probably tells you all you need to know about our holiday criteria). It looks like it primarily operates as a coffee shop/milk shake bar, however, a closer look reveals a full bar.
A couple of caveats. It is directly across from the local school so if you came on holiday to escape screaming kids then this may not be the place for you. The owners also have a tolerance for local cats. If, like us, you enjoy feline company then you'll benefit from the attention and calm atmosphere created by the slumbering of the cats. None of the cats we encountered were feisty and just wanted to initially say hello before quickly settling down.
The bar serves the usual Effes and also the less common Bomonti. Bomonti is a malt beer and quite pleasant. The beer is more expensive here than in other bars (14 tl as opposed to more usual 10 to 12 tl). The ambiance is good with shelter and plants growing around the standings.
Cakes looked good but we didn't try them. Most folks seemed to be stopping for coffee and cake.
