On a visit to Bozburan peninsula this was the only substantial ancient site in range. And it is well worth the drive to see. Some work in progress so the theatre was inaccessible, but it is still quite impressive. The harbours are interesting and you can have a good tramp around a variety of remains. And it is worth paying attention to the flora as well.

Knidos was set on a very interesting place from antique age, two ports one for military secon for commerce and one side is aegean other is mediterranean with a good antique open air museum plus a swimmable beach.
Must see.

beautiful view, where the aegean sea meets the mediterranean sea, you can visit the old city Knidos. Also restaurant and clean toilets. The road from Datca city centre to Knidos is about 40 minutes. Nice villages and beautiful panorama views. You also visit Palamutbükü, very vlean blue sea and beach!

We were based in Datca and went to visit Knidos in late May. The site itself is not especially "marketed" towards international tourism although that may have related in part to the time of year we were there. It was interesting and enjoyable to walk around the ruins and the gift shop was a really good find: I got some excellent value diaries and soaps to take back to the family as trinkets. There is also an (even by Turkish standards) unbelievably cheap restaurant to have lunch at, which does a solid meze menu for groups.

The drive out to Knidos is actually as fun (and challenging!) as the place itself, though this is true of a lot of the more secluded areas on the peninsula.

Worth a visit if you are here, though obviously you need to make sure you have the necessary transport.
