I had arranged for an afternoon circle island boat tour. I had a little trouble finding the guide, but once we found each other, it was smooth sailing. We were just expecting a leisurely cruise around the island. We got a lot more. Our guide was Teiki. He was very personable and had lots of first-hand experiences to relate. We had the opportunity to feed and swim with the sharks and rays and snorkel along the reef. It is too bad that we didn't know about these opportunities in advance as were were not clothed for activities in the water. A couple of ladies went in anyway, but it would have been better to have been prepared. In addition to the swimming stops, we ended the day at the the company's priviate motu where we had a nice walk and another opportunity for swimming. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to use them again.

On our honeymoon, we rented thru Keawai for a 3hr boat trip, snorkeling and even a little serenade at the end by Glen! Glen was excellent host and captain...took us to the spots we desired, kept us safe and showed us the cool pieces of each spot we stopped to view sting rays, sharks and fish. And a good history of the island and his family. We saw everything we wanted to - the time flew by and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Glen sang us a few tunes while strumming his guitar(?) on the ride home! Booking was responsive thru Teki at Keawai and we highly recommend He and his crew when you visit BoraBora!
Thanks Glen!

Spent morning of April 11 doing 3 snorkels in 3 hours
Sharks and rays, many fish in coral garden both great
Then, on request, more live coral than I could have imagined with variety of fish not seen elsewhere
Leisurely ride back to the dock stretched out on the front deck of the speed boat
A memorable day for sure

If you want to have the best day of your Bora Bora vacation, book the full day private lagoon tour with keawai Excursions. We've been to Bora Bora before and done the group lagoon tours, they're fun and all, but the private lagoon tour is where it's at. It costs a little more, but if you're debating about it, just do it. We were traveling as a family of 7, myself and my wife, 2 kids (age 8 and 5), my parents (late 60's), and my sister. It was a day we'll never forget. Teiki took great care of us, and catered wonderfully to the needs and abilities of the kids. And wow, the lunch he prepared on the private motu was delicious. It was as perfect of a day in the South Pacific as you could imagine. Also, if you're debating between half day and full day, do the full day. You will not regret it.
