We were lucky we had the very end over- the water bungalow - so, we had these amazing sunrise views from our bed - that was the best! Just loved the snorkeling access and plenty of colourful fish to see, including stingrays making their way around. The bed was just comfortable - large bathroom and a nice size balcony. Everyone of the staff here had a smile on their face, that was good!

Room Tip: The two over-the water bungalows at the end of the walkway are the best!

Love check-in at these resorts as you are greeted with a beautiful lai and juice drink. After 3 days of traveling and lost luggage (thank you Air France) we arrived in Bora Bora at the MaiTai Polynesia. Hotel informed us that our luggage would arrive tomorrw morning.

Check-in was very easy and we were upgraded to an overwater bungalow, we said NOTHING. Maybe it was because we looked so pathetic or maybe it was because the place was very deserted. No matter, we'll take it. I had booked a garden room with a view of the lagoon but being on the water was fantastic.

Overwater Room: snorkeling is good in our little lagoon and the bio reefs ecosystem they are trying to establish are definitely working. Bed was comfortable, bathroom large, balcony nicely sized. Watched stingrays make their way around.

Service: everyone here had a smile on their face and warm greetings. no issue was too small, they take care of you.

Restaurant: forget the buffet breakfast, it may offer alot of food but $30 per person is a bit much. We did however eat in the smaller restaurant by our room and the food was great. We made a couple trips to both markets for liquor and breakfast food.
Short walk to Lucky Town restaurant for pizza was great.

This place is a one star at best. Breakfast was covered in flies, eggs were from a box, and food was terrible. Rooms had water leaks and are very dated and in rough shape. Mold is visible in different parts of the room. The grounds are not kept up and there was lots of metal fencing in the water where you are to walk and swim. Do not book this hotel you will regret it.

We stayed in the hotel until a beach then over water bungalow came available and all were fine. Just loved the snorkeling access and plenty of fish to see. The staff was very accommodating and worked with us. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Get a bungalow as far as you can out on the walk there are more fish visiting.

The hotel was a good bang for a buck, considering that it is at Bora Bora. It is not cheap, but it is a lot cheaper than most of the other places.

Pros:

* Good location and own beach
* Free parking
* Decent restaurant
* Internet in the Lobby
* Bar Happy hour

Cons:

* Inroom internet was terrible
* Terribly overpriced breakfast
* No pool

Room Tip: Seaview rooms are really good bang for a buck
