Wadi el Gamal - the camel s valley is THE desert excursion to make! Natural preserve, security!, absolutely fascinating views and spots ranging from abandoned roman settlements to ancient goldmines... best 'done' with some local beduins. Avoid the 'hotel arrangements'.

The protectorate covers a large are of both desert and sea so you have plenty to do.
Among the loveliest places are Sharm Al Louli beach, and Al Qulaan.
