Oliver House Bed and Breakfast

My wife wanted to stay at the Copper Queen but they only had room for one night. We ended up booking the Oliver House B&B for the second night and I wish we had spent both nights there! The Copper Queen was overpriced, with small rooms, thin walls, noisy street and bar underneath. This place was only a block away in a quieter area and is full of history!
The host was awesome and entertained us in the morning with stories from the area. The rooms were super clean and had a lot of character (and a few are haunted if you're into this). The house in itself is very well renovated and over 100 years old. We didn't touch the car for 2 days since it's located right downtown. Highlight recommend it, will stay there again!

Room Tip: Get in Room 9 or 13 for some ghost activity!

Great location up in the hills above Bisbee, but super super walking distance close to everything. (We came in late at night, and it's a little hard to find, but we got there!) Tricia is amazing, her breakfast is AMAZING, it was so much fun to spend time in the house chatting with her and hearing about the history of the house and Bisbee in general. We had a blast exploring Bisbee and she gave great suggestions around the city and a day trip to go hiking.

We like to stay where we can walk to things. Bisbee is a very walk friendly town, and the Oliver House is an excellent location to serve as your base. Tricia was welcoming and a fine breakfast cook. Our room (one with a private bath) was clean and comfy. The hotel is unique and Tricia and Ralph are bringing it back to the class it surely had in the past. One highlight was the recommendation to visit Arizona's smallest bar, with the magician as bartender. Wow, don't miss that one. All good in Bisbee.

Great quirky B&B in Bisbee. I stayed in the haunted room which had private bath in the room. Great comfortable bed. Breakfast was perfect, host is very friendly and has great suggestions for meals and entertainment.

Bisbee is an old mining town built on steep hillside, so the roads are twisty turfy, Finding the place is part of the fun. I suggest walking there from any downtown parking space first before driving there. That allows you get a good feel for both vehicles and pedestrians for the town and the unique traffic flow then you will understand where Oliver house is located, . Walking around you find so many stairs taking you down or up to another great street. Great food , great beer, great artists, great shopping. And Great haunts?

Room Tip: Go for it the Haunted Room should be first choice

We had room #14, with a private bath. No necessary, but nice. Each room is quaint and definitely B&B style. The Oliver House is historic and it shows. You can hear people in the hallways clearly from your room, but most guests are very respectful. No phone, no TV, no ice machine. The hotel is 2 stories, with the second floor being a walkup. It is difficult to find the Hotel at first, as it is located halfway up one of Bisbee's hills, and the rest of the town has grown up around it. Go to the top of the hill, and then come down around the church after the Government building and you will be in the right place. Look for a little "horse trail" to the house.

What truly makes the Oliver House special are those running it, Tricia and Ralph. They called to see if we were having trouble finding the place. Tricia practically sashay'ed around the house showing off where all the features were, such as the shared refrigerator, the common bathrooms, the upper deck overlooking Bisbee, and where to find late night eats during the Sidepony Express Music Festival.

Mornings are a joy. Tricia and Ralph cook hot breakfasts for all guests in addition to a continental breakfast. They delight in serving their guests, and hearing about their adventures, and without asking, picked up on the fact that my girlfriend was vegetarian, and went the extra mile to provide a modified version of breakfast for her. Ralph's biscuits and gravy are amazing.

This is a historic building and it shows. Reports of ghosts are common, if you're into that. But the real treat are the people living there and taking care of it. You couldn't ask for a more hospitable and caring pair of hosts than Tricia and Ralph.

Room Tip: Choose room 13 if possible. There are rooms with pass-through doors for families.
