Everyone showed up at 5pm for half off on pasta dishes... and by 6:00, they were gone! We went and had one of the last 3 empty tables at 5:10, and started with salad and Pumpkin coconut curry soup (GF) then enjoyed Salmon with Tuscan seasoning and Parmesan risotto for one entree with a wine: Riviera Pinot Noir from Paso Robles. I had Filet mignon with baked potato, butter, and sour cream, yum!
And drank wine too, a Predator Old Vine Zinfandel from Lodi, CA.
Waitress knew about gluten so mentioned not to have croutons on my salad. Very good service from clearing table during meal and filling water glasses. Straws in our water glass, why? Keep them out of the landfill, please.

Thank Mary B

We needed a place to eat and took a chance at Nic’s Italian Steak & Crab House. The service was great, the food was outstanding and the price was reasonable. Wished we had a Nic’s in Kingsport Tennessee.
Would recommend to all!

We came here for our anniversary and were immediately met with a 20 minute wait for a table. Ok, fair enough. We sat at the bar and had a cocktail and while the hostess was very nice, it seemed like a pretty long wait. The ambiance is really beautiful, and it was pretty enough to enjoy our cocktails and sit back and relax. When we finally got a table, it would've been lovely to HEAR our waiter and the specials, but he was so quiet and soft spoken, we kept shouting "what? what?" which was weird. We may be in our 40s but our hearing is just fine and its not that loud in here? Maybe he was new? The bread was fine, soup and salad fine, but it was more of a warm up to hopefully a great dinner. Eh. My husband's steak was dry with little seasoning. He thought backyard bbq's manned by drunken soccer dads produced better. His risotto was also just bland and boring. I make a killer butternut squash risotto and he joked that he wished he had gotten mine instead of this. My pasta primavera was underwhelming at best. The veggies were practically raw and were tough to cut apart. The alfredo sauce was ok....just kind of bland. I added a lot of salt and pepper and it was better, but you shouldn't have to doctor it up for $20 a plate. For the price, we probably wouldn't come back and we're local. Its just not worth it when you can make the exact same thing at home for far less of a cost. Disappointing after hearing all of the great reviews, but oh well.

Had the ribs, delicious. Husband had chicken piccata, delicious also.service and drinks great. Open 5-9 everyday. Large menu. Salads, ribs and chicken, pasta, seafood and Tuscan grilled steaks. The dessert cannoli wasn't good. No candied fruit or chocolate chips in the cannoli. But we will be back.. !! very noisy!!

This restaurant/hospitality group (Haunted) nails it. We spent 3 days in Cottonwood recently, stayed at their Tavern Inn and tried each of the groups restaurants. All top notch.
Nics is the more formal (Cottonwood formal, so you can leave the dress or slacks in the closet) old school steak, pasta, seafood spot. Lots of booths, low light, full service bar, solid traditional menu.
Food was great. We had pasta, fish and salads. Wine list was not extensive, but nice choices at reasonable prices. Service was outstanding.
Heading back in November.
