We went to this restaurant because the reviews were good. We walked in, and we were the only customers. The waitress told us to sit wherever, and brought us stale chips. We were starving and it was late, so we stuck it out. We are so glad we did! The food was GREAT! Perfectly cooked burger and fries, just like you want when traveling Route 66. Then the owner spoke to us as we were leaving, and told us about the role that the town and the restaurant had played inspiring the movie Cars. It was so interesting to talk to him and hear his stories. Definitely recommend!!

Good atmosphere
Very welcoming and personable hosts
Average food
Dirty tables
Broken furniture
We had been looking forward to the visit but were disappointed
The lovely hosts sort of made up for the average food but not the dirty tables

Try the Chile Relleno dish with both green and red salsa. It was super tasty. Casual atmosphere. 3rd generation owners, I believe.

The shop part is OK, but do not eat here. It is NOT clean. They were out of just about everything we wanted. The tortilla chips were stale. My wife wanted a Millers Lite but were told they only had Bud Lite and then they served a Coors Light.
Also the food feels like it has been microwaved...

Not many places around for breakfast, this was within walking distance of our hotel so we gave it a shot. Not many options, tasted the oil it was cooked in more than the food, juice was very small (6 oz) at a price I thought would be at least 8. While there aren't many options I would suggest trying one of the others.
