the restaurant is nicely sectioned off to cater for different sized groups. our table of ten had an intimate space which allowed for the kids to stretch their legs. we had a range of dishes, including chilli chicken, aloo dosa and prawn as a starter which were all very tasty. our mains included butter chicken and lamb vindaloo, if you like spicy try the vindaloo. service was efficient...a service charge is already included in the bill. best to make a reservation as i noticed the space filling up quickly.

My wife and I are on a Biryani quest and found one of the best in South Africa! Such a relaxed atmosphere and friendly service. We will be back next time we visit Durban.

Palki's is very authentic. The puerile, the flavour, and the charming staff. If you've ever been to India, you'll know what I mean. The food is exceptional. Best Indian in Durban for sure. And the quirky staff are very friendly, and very accommodating.

I'll be back over and over and over.

Adequate roadside parking, as save as anywhere in South Africa as we have the standard car guards present to ensure that you have an stress free night out at Palki's.
Please note that entrance into this establishment is via a staircase and this should be considered should you intend taking elderly people along.
Entering this establishment I was immediately impressed with the layout and the soft background Indian music that transported me to place somewhere in India.
The menu catered for taste buds of everyone in our group that consisted of 7 people.
The drinks menu is standard and does not include a very large range of wines however, it was sufficient for our selection of wines.
The staff is efficient and friendly and our table was even visited by the owner of the establishment.
The selection of foods on the menu is extensive however. the colouring used on the Tandorio chicken was a bit over-powering as it left some of us with red finger tips.
Good air conditioning lend to an enjoyable experience at this establishment and I would recommend a visit here should you want to experience good food, atmosphere and a most pleasant meal away from home

Dear Randall

Thank you for your lovely comments which we sincerely appreciate. Please note that we do have secure parking at the rear of the restaurant as well. During the day his parking is used by tenants of Tinsley House Building, however, in the evenings the parkings are free for the use of Palki customers.
