As we are regular visitors to the garden route we have eaten at many restaurants in the area. This however is something totally different. It is not a big restaurant. Think 12 tables maximum, so bookings are essential. Everything is 5 star. The service, the ambiance, the cleanness of the place, the food, the wine and the tasty aperitifs before dinner. A special touch is the chef coming to the table to explain the menu. The staff is extremely well trained and knowledgeable. All food is real South African dishes, but even for us as South Africans it had an awesome twist to the normal. Absolutely highly recommended

This was our second visit in a year, being in the area from Sydney. This is a great restaurant to visit, starting with being shown into a comfortable lounge room where the chef comes in to explain the menu options and take your order. Each dish is a complex blend of unusual South African ingredients and is paired, should you wish, with even more interesting SA wines. For those who don’t drink it was refreshing to see a number of interesting non-alcoholic options being available. The wait staff are knowledgeable and excellent so a total package! Highly recommend - but ensure you book as it is small.

There is no words to describe the beauty of the food served here. The detail, the care of ingredients and way they are introduced to you. Not to even mentioning the mouthwatering balance of flavors in each dish! Would highly recommend to any having the chance to visit. Truly unique experience for me.

Loved this place. Friendly owners, delicious food , great wine pairings and not too formal. I had the kudu sausage, springbok tartar and ostrich steak ( when in ZA.........) whilst my wife had great vegetarian options. Book early and enjoy.
