My family took the cable car to the top. It was unfortunate that I did not have the nerve. However after having two glasses of wine; I mustered the nerve to take the ride. I forgot my niece had the tickets so I missed that incredible experience.

Revolving floor allows you to see all areas as you make your way up the mountain. Just 2 cable cars run so it's a quick journey up and down but very scenic.

Top tip which we didn’t do ! Buy tickets on line beforehand or you can be waiting quite a while - although it is a very picturesque place to queue ! Cable car rotated so don’t worry if you start off looking at doorway you don’t need to join scrum to get in first !
Pictures were amazing

A great way to see all of Cape Town and the 360 Degree views at the southern end of this continent. It's a must-do on any tourists check list.
Operates efficiently and inexpensively. You see Robbin Island, the city, vineyards and all the way down to the Cape of Good Hope. Within three months we have now seen this Cape and Cape Hirn in South America.

Pre-booking avoided the queues, a five minute ride and the unexpected when the cabin rotated as we ascended - great views and even more when we go to the top
