What a wonderful place to stay when touring the Oudtshoorn area. Our family spent three nights, what wonderful hosts and environment, our every need was catered for and the food was outstanding! We were warmly welcomed on arrival and given a map of the area .The Lodge offers a pool, Jacuzzi, TV room and bar. Our children loved their few days there and didn't want to leave, finding it hard to say goodbye to the resident Basset ,Basil.

Room Tip: All rooms are excellent.

What a fabulous place to stay if you're touring the Oudtsthoorn area. Luxury accommodation, great team of hosts and fabulous dinner and wines.....just beware the chili grappa! Len and his team do a great job! Looking forward to a return visit.

My son (25) and I were are spending two weeks in S. Africa on a MotorCycle expidition with Renadian Motorcycle Safaris. We've stayed in several places along the way, all were good but LOVED this one. Remote site, very charming, love the architecture of the rooms and main dining area too. The grounds were impecably kept with excellent attention to detail.
Loved the dogs too: (has a few Bassett hounds that I think they've rescued)
The rooms were simple in design and well appointed. I loved the stone floors in the shower, The ceilings are native African thatched roof with interior of cane and beam. Really well done. Everything is 'on-purpose'. Len and his entire staff were great.
There is a small pool that is clean and we enjoyed jumping in and laying around the pool area. The food and service were really good. Nice people. Highly recommend.

We were introduced to Thabile Lodge while on a tour of South Africa on motorcycles. No one should be disappointed with this location. The staff and ownership hit the mark on every front including the meals which were extremely well done with presentation found at many high end restaurants.

Rooms are nicely appointed and sized with a minimalist touch. Construction and design is nice with unique features including a stone floor shower which provides for a massage of the feet after a long day.

It is not a matter of "if I will come back....it is only a matter of when".

Staff of Thabile....thanks for the experience.

Thabile Lodge is an excellent place to stay – comfortable, welcoming and ideally situated in the peaceful countryside on the outskirts of Oudtshoorn. The rooms were comfy, quiet and clean with Wi-Fi and a powerful shower. Owner Len is an exceptional host along with Benriëtte who recommended a terrific 3/4 day circular drive via an epic mountain pass to Prince Albert. The gardens are attractive and there’s an excellent pool area for relaxing and cooling off. The evening meals were delicious and we thoroughly enjoyed having a few drinks with Len and Albert in the bar. We’re very glad we stayed there. Thanks for making us feel so at home.
