“Magnificant Gardens On the Beach!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 March 2012

This hotel's grounds are truly lovely, the gardens are the best I've seen in a hotel grounds. There are meandering streams and pools with beautiful walkways and bridges. The restaurants you can dine in are either indoors or outdoors. The menus are a bit limiting, Italian, Goan or Masala, but the food was well prepared and presented. The breakfast is the best I've had at any hotel, the choice was amazing!
Our room could only be described as a suite, it was huge, with a lovely veranda overlooking the gardens with the sea on the horizon. We were in Court 4 which was closest to the Restaurant area. Sunsets at this hotel are fantastic.

Room Tip: If you ask for a sea view just be prepared that there are so many palm trees in the gardens you can...

Breathtakingly beautiful, this first class hotel has everything. Excellent accomodation, spacious and clean - a glorious setting on the beach but with plenty of pool side facilities (including a flag system for waiter's attention!) - beautiful gardens - a modern, well equiped spa and a wide variety of impeccably prepared and presented food. If you can drag yourself away from heaven for a moment there are also local bars and shopping within an easy walk from the hotel including a beach bar (can't remember it's name but it's the closest one to the hotel) which I would highly recommend for a lazy lunch of cold beer and fresh fish.
We will definately return to this hotel - my only regret is taking so long to write this review as it has reminded me of how wonderful the holiday was.

My husband and I spent 3 weeks here Jan/Feb 2012. On the surface a good hotel, lovely grounds, good pool, good beach - but that's it. This is a hotel with no heart or soul. No visible bar area, you have to search for well hidden bar which is dark, gloomy and usually empty. Drinks very expensive even by UK standards.Communal eating area is awful - a quiet meal for two spoilt by kids running around and large noisy parties.Breakfast food is good but spread across several different restaurant areas meaning you have to search for everything. Staff appear to be trained on the job and are frequently told off in front of guests. Most staff seem to operate in pairs and are not interested in guests - rarely greet you unless you speak first. Management staff seem to be non existent, we only saw a manager on our last day. Would never stay there again if you paid me. Not a patch on the Leela Kempinski.

Room Tip: Don't take clothes that require drawer space because there is very little. Spent 3 weeks with ub...

Dear Angela E,

Thank you for your candid review of your stay with us. I am deeply disheartened to know that we were unable to meet your expectations and provide you with an experience that is testimony to the Park Hyatt brand. Is there any reason in particular that made you feel that our hotel lacked "soul" ? Our Village Square is popular with most of our guests , but yes, for a more intimate dining experience we would recommend Palms or the Cabana by the beach shore. I also regret to note that we were unable to deliver to you the service standards that we pride ourselves on. I assure you, I personally ensure that all our staff undergo corrective training on a regular basis.Thank you once again for your feedback and I hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you.

Kind regards,

Visited the hotel last year. Seemingly, summer vacations are not the preferred time to go to Goa but Park Hyatt was a good place to be. Very well maintained, sprawling gardens right on a peaceful beach. The food's good, buffet breakfast is great and doesn't leave space for much through the day. The pool is very large but difficult to stand when not swimming with depth of 5' plus all through. Rooms with a balcony are very comfortable. And the pricing seems reasonable when compared with the exorbitant cubbyholes available nearer Mumbai.

We stayed here for a night during our 3 day trip to Goa as a treat to ourselves and our 15 month old son... On arrival we were upgraded by the lovely reception staff to a pool view room. The room of course was stunning, but the property itself showed such detail and aesthetic in design... The 400 year old chapel ruins on the beach front, the enormous banyan trees bordering the delightful stone water swimming pool... Great cocktails at the pool bar and a fantastic spread at the Dining Room, where we had dinner and breakfast... The staff was kind enough to take me and the baby for a buggy ride around the property too, where my son promptly fell asleep on the gentle bumpy ride and with sea breeze in his hair. The private little beach is clean and safe for small kids. A beautiful stay all in all and we can't wait to go back again!
