After two weeks in Bali, we craved western-style food. This restaurant gets it right! From the moment you walk in, you feel as if you were in any casual, chic cafe in New York City or Atlanta, Georgia. Large glass windows block the noise from the cars and trucks of the Candidasa main street and keep the restaurant cool, comfortable, and dust free. The chalkboard on the walls allows an interactive experience. We tried the pork belly wrap, couscous, jaffle, tuna fish sandwich, and bruschetta. All of these quick bites were tasty, well-prepared and actually generous portions. Tremendous value for your money. Drinks we tried were chai tea latte, mango juice, lime juice, and carrot juice. Once again, we were pleased with all the beverages as well. The chocolate mud cake and carrot cakes were equally as delicious.
We met the friendly owners at the closing shift (be aware that this restaurant closes at 6 p.m. which is significantly earlier than other Candidasa cafes). They really value their employees, and you can tell that their employees love working there -- Wayan is a delightful person. When in Candidasa, you can count on LOAF for a great snack, meal, dessert or drink. Highly recommend.
