If you're looking for a quiet meal, find this place at the Festival Mall in Alabang, I am quite bemused with the menu as I could not fathom if this was a Japanese, a Korean or a Thai restaurant. As long as you find the sake, it must be Japanese :) Try the fresh veggie roll or perhaps their beef ramen. They serve sizes that fit anyone's appetite.

Service was good enough. Ramen is average but enough to satiate your ramen cravings but not enough for par competition...more improvement on the broth and toppings but noodles are firm enough. Tried the karaage, serving was enough for 2-3 persons... i think the karaage is the better karaage i have tasted...not tough but tender enough, passed the take-out test (still tender, chewy and crunchy, taste the same even after reheated in the morning from last night dinner).Aji tamago yolk is salty and served as a side dish...Ambience is good with a nice view from outside. Crews attentive enough to refill our service water (did not tried their offered beverages). Might back again just for a quick ramen fix but there is more ramen outlet with better ramen. Price is cheaper than restaurants.

Spring rolls were overcooked, Gyoza was overcooked on one side. The Pho-Ga's not fresh. I've never seen a Vietnamese dish this unsatisfying. Aside from that, they need to improve on customer service.

The restaurant occupies a two-storey unit in the The River Garden, a new upscale dining and entertainment area within the Festival Mall in Alabang, Muntinlupa. The same restaurant also houses the better-known Pho Hoa Vietnamese restaurant since both restaurants have the same owner.

Asahikawa, however, is a poor imitation of a Japanese restaurant. I'm told Asahikawa restaurant is a home-grown restaurant created by the franchisors of Pho Hoa, who hoped to bank on the popularity of the Vietnamese franchise.

Unlike the food quality/serving of Pho Hoa, however, Asahikawa's dishes leave much to be desired. Their miso ramen has two thin slices of pork belly while the soup was quite thin and watery. The noodles tasted rather plain. A far cry from Ippudo and Fukuoka Ramen's ramen dishes, although their prices don't differ much.

The tonkatsu breading has a weird aftertaste and the pork was quite dry and thin.

The glazed chicken wings tasted okay but the servings were quite small.

Overall, the restaurant is neither value nor taste for money. Won't be recommending this to my friends. Well, unless they eating Pho Hoa dishes.

The ramen here is good enough, for its price anyway. Do not expect too much; but it will surely satisfy your ramen craving. There are plenty of better ramen places nearby, and sadly, this one cannot beat the competition.

Try the spicy miso though. Fair enough.
