Incredible location.
Very clean and tidy.
Friendly hosts.
Lost of stairs.
Shared toilets and kitchen.
Rooftop terrace is awesome.
With only one working power outlet, I had to choose, charge phone, fan or tv. (It's so hot you need the fan on at all times, there's no a/c) September.
Very relaxed.
There is a great cafe next door and 1 minutes walk to the centre square.

Good day Daniel and thank you for being our guest, we appreciate your comments and observations. As we take your comments to heart and will do whatever it takes to correct we must disagree with the Hostel Style Hotel. We know who we are, we are a family owned pension that offers great pricing in one of the most lovely places across the Algarve. You get a privet comfortable room with a private shower and sink and full cleaning services each and every day. (including towels and all beddings needed). We are far form the hostel experience, we are the extensional Portuguese experience. Thanks again and Bon Voyage

Positives Rooms were clean and tidy. Shared bath rooms
Negatives- no air con, and the side rooms have no airflow whatsoever very stuffy. I don't normally care a beds a bed but we literally had minimal sleep while staying there.
Wifi is very sporadic.

Amazing views from the rooftop.

Dear traveller,
Thanks for your comments and criticism, we take your feedback to heart and regret you did not have a pleasant experience as we wish you have. As we took ownership only two months ago we value your input and we will do whatever it takes to improve. New mattress, better air flow and so on. The pension does not have WC in the rooms and we believe that the way is is designed is the right way (not for suitable for all). We love our little pension and believe it is a true expression of life in Portugal as a native. Again, we apologise if you did not feel comfortable and wish you the best,

This accommodation is in a great location in Olhao. However, we arrived in a hot part of the year and struggled to sleep as there was no air conditioning just fans. There was no toilet in our room the toilets were across the hall. Friendly staff and ultra clean but a bit out dated rooms. There is also no lift and a lot of steep stairs. Rooftop was the best part you can see the sunset and look out over the town.

Nissan is an old world innkeeper he makes you feel welcome with his charm and warmth. This building has no elevator and the stairs are steep but the climb to the rooftop is well worth the effort. I's the perfect place to watch the sun go down with a bottle of whatever.the rooms have sink and shower but there is a shared toilet. No A/C but it isn't needed,

I stayed for two nights at this lovely pension and I am very happy about my choice. The roof top terrace is of course the best thing - it is absolutely amazing and it feels like a little garden or get away itself with its wrap around view, BBQ and small tables - the whole decoration is intimate and lovely and a great place to meet and talk to the other guests. I can imagine to spend a whole day up there on a longer trip. The shared kitchen is a great idea - it is fully equipped and you are able to prepare some snacks or a proper breakfast which is great - especially if you stay for a longer period of time. The rooms are of a great size, the shower is quite small and you share the toilet with the other guests staying on the same floor - so if this is not a problem for you and you love a rather personal decorated atmosphere than a standard designer hotel, this is the right choice for you as well. The owner is always around and has some great tips and recommendations, he is a very lovely and caring host. The pension is situated in a quiet side street in the middle of Olhao - perfect starting point to explore the fish and fruit market or the old church and narrow city centre of Olhao. Parking is on the street for free - I always found a close by spot and was able to explore the whole southern part of Algarve. And yes, the price is slightly higher than other hotels which offer private bathrooms and breakfast included - but the personal touch and Jeffs caring make up for both of this.
