We stayed here following a recommendation from family members who were also staying in the hotel during our holiday.
The hotel is central to bars and restaurants, there are 2 supermarkets opposite the hotel very well stocked.
We were initially allocated a room in a separate block which was not referenced on Jet2. Apparently Ocean Blue bought some of the adjacent hotel. The room was small, the wet room leaked which posed a slip risk on the tiles. Limited amount of sockets too. The pool area to this block needs attention, the pool water was murky and covers to the sunbeds very dirty and stained. We went to reception explained the issues and was offered an alternative room in the main hotel. Very prompt service from the lovely receptionist. Mini bar in the room but no ice box in the fridge (not the end of the world as the bar will give you ice). Take a travel iron as there is no iron available in the room.
The main pool is spotless, plenty of sunbeds with the obligatory reservation by 7am with beach towels.
Some lovely restaurants which are a taxi ride away - Azalea and Karizma. Well worth a visit. A trip on the ferry to Rhodes is also worth considering.
Overall we had a great time, all the staff are very hard working polite, professional and friendly, our housekeeper for room 1206 was lovely and always smiling. Thankyou!

Stayed at this hotel for 7 nights , Staff are exellant and very helpful , we had a swim up room ( well 3 or 4 steps to get into the pool) but room was comfortable , towels & bed changed every day , We were b&b only , if you like boiled eggs , omelette , poached eggs you will be fine rest of breakfast wasn't for us we ate out most mornings , Food at the pool bar was nice & decent portions , The sun beds were nice & comfortable & decent pool area , bar prices were average apart from cocktail happy hour 2for1 , But all in all cant fault this hotel ,if we go back to hisoronu would definitely book this hotel , any one with Children there is not a lot for them to do around the pool , no slides just swimming , Thank to All The Staff once again ,R A

Here we go. I travel a lot and have been so lucky to have worked as a travel journalist, staying in some of the most luxurious accommodation in the world. I knew that Turkey/Hisaronu wouldn’t offer me the same level of luxury but was keen to visit the place my boyfriend has enjoyed for many years as a repeat visitor to the area. So I set about doing my research, including Tripadvisor and the Facebook group dedicated to holidaying in the town. I’m happy to say that we made the right choice, mostly because:

Great team - friendly, fun, welcoming and determined that you have a good holiday. Ali, Mehmet and their colleagues run a tight ship and are always available to talk to. Thumbs up! Malik, Ozcan and our cleaner were so nice.

Spotlessly clean - yes, the wallpaper in our room was tired but there wasn’t a speck of dust or a single dirty mark. Really beautifully cleaned - perfect.

Breakfast - varied to a degree, tasty and the setting is nice.

Pool bar - delicious lunches, attentive friendly service and so relaxing to while away a few hours. We loved it.

Location, location - couldn’t fault it. Right there, where you’d want to be.

Bar/evening/late night - lovely atmosphere and top guy hosting… Sorry, can’t remember his name.

So, what wasn’t right?

The bed. Easily the most uncomfortable bed I have ever slept in. I put the two extra duvets on but I had maximum four nights’ sleep a night and that’s not ok on holiday. We were in room 1202 and found out that other beds are better but were reluctant to move from this fab location. Beds can be firm but hard and really uncomfortable isn’t acceptable.

No comfortable lounging spots, partly because of the bed. I like to have a lie in or lounge around a bit on holiday but there is no soft seating in the room.

Sunbed wars. Towels appear from 6am and I actually think it’s a joke. It’s a British thing, granted, but it’s so embarrassing and the hotel absolutely should do something about it. Families putting towels out before sunrise then not turning up til 2pm? No! Of course it’s partly a problem because you have to have your own towel - the hotel doesn’t provide them. I don’t get it at all and it’s so pathetic. If you’ve ever put your towel on the sunbed in the middle of the night, shame on you!

Don’t let my review put you off because Ocean Blue is great in many more ways that it’s bad, but the comfort of the beds and stamping out sunbed wars would go a long way towards making it perfect.

We stayed at ocean Blue for a week for the first time , from 1st October and we loved it !
We had a room at the front of the hotel on the second floor . It was big which a nice sized shower room also .
The breakfast was great . Plenty to choose from , including cereals, traditional Turkish breakfast, and yoghurt, fruits, nuts and croissants. You could also order omelettes .
The pool area is nice, with a bar behind it , serving excellent food and drinks all day . There is a second pool we went to, behind there too. We went to both pools .
There is a bar in front of the hotel and the staff are lovely. I had nice cocktails .
We are going to book to stay here next year for sure!
Sarah and Steve .

I wrote a review before
It’s been taken down for some reason
So I’ve put pictures of this mouldy bathroom
I have a video of it all
The hotel is filthy
Food has flies all over it
I was glad to leave the place
Wouldn’t go there if you gave me a free holiday
