We had a 2 week stay there in may and had a fantastic time and would definitely go back again. Everyone that works there is credit to the hotel, always smiling and always polite and they go out of their way to make sure you enjoy your stay. Food is great i must of put on a stone!!!
The entertainment or animation crew as they call themselves work really hard to make your stay enjoyable too and i certainly enjoyed joining in with all the fun and games, if anyone has a video of Mr Olu Deniz id love to see it!!!!!!
Only complaint would be we had to come home!!!!!

Whatever bad reviews are on here, please ignore them with avengence. Myself and my husband stayed at Olu Deniz Resort Hotel last week of May 2012. This hotel is truly amazing. I have stayed in some of the best hotels in the world and so I was a little nervous about booking this 3 star accomodation. That anxiety soon disappeared as soon as we arrived. Its not the most glorious hotel in the world however it is spotlessly clean.... the grounds are cleaned 24 hours a day, there is always someone doing something and the grounds and gardens are a piece of paradise. So, to keep it shortish, i will bullet point everything to make easy reading for all my fellow travellers: -

* Clean and Tidy, always.

* Gardens are beautiful, with some exquisite plants and flowers

* Food is excellent considering they are mass catering (if you dont find something you like to eat here, then there is something wrong with you, not the food) If you want bacon and eggs everyday, then go to blackpool...
*Breakfast at 7.30 til 10.30
* Lunch at 12.30 til 2.30 ~(snack bars are also at the poolside)
* Dinner at 7.30 til 10.30
* Various nationalitys at this hotel but mainly English

* Pool towels are available near the main pool... you pay 40 lira for the duration but can get fresh towels everyday when you take old ones back, then at end of holiday give your receipt in at reception and they refund you this.

* 3 pools - one main one, mainly for families
* next one is the activities pool by the olive garden, where you will be able to join in with the animation team for waterpolo, darts, and all sorts of other stuff, but there is also a relax pool nearby in the complex just for adults only, there is a bar but no music etc..... you wont get mithered to play any games and stuff here....

* All the staff, waiters, bar people, cleaners animation are all lovely people, genuine and all up for a laugh, they all have a great sense of humour. (reception staff are a bit miserable, but hey ho, you will only really see them once or twice anyway)

* Currency ----- take the bear minimum with you to start with... for e.g. i changed currency in England and i got to £1.00 2.63 lira - we arrived in turkey and the rate was £1.00 2.83 lira, but it can fluctuate slightly daily....

* On average if you go out for a drink, a large Efes (lovely lager) it generally costs around 5 lira, sometimes it can be dearer depending where you go but on average its about that.

* Meals out can be as expensive or inexpensive as your purse allows but wherever you eat, the quaility seems to be top notch... there is a lot of competition out there so there standards are very high.

* If you book any excursions may I suggest you go with a company called "Gravity" - they are one of the cheapest but they have good insurance cover and are all very professional.... they still like to have a laugh with you though and I can promise you you will not be disappointed.

* The sunset cruise is a lovely trip...... Costs about £7.00 with dinner included, fish or chicken but the drinks are extra, you will pay about 8 lira per drink here or just pack a few of ya own to take.... (from supermarkets, the beer and wine or cheap) - you will laugh when you see AZDA Supermarket in the town... (AZDA not ASDA)

*also the parachute jumps off the mountain is also quite an exilarating experience. Most places you see will charge anywhere between £50.00 to £75.00 - Gravity do theres for £50.00 with £10000000 insurance cover and from what i saw this is the best one to go with, they take safety very seriously. This takes about 40 mins to get up the mountain by van which is all incl inc price, then a pilot strap you and himself in and off ya jump.... so easy, scary, but really kool...... the landing is incredibly smooth aswell, so for all you scardy cats, dont be, just do it, i can promise you you wont be sorry. Go on.... live a little.

*For the girls - in the bedroom, there is a hairdryer in the bathroom so only got to pack your straightners if so required, and take mainly shorts and linen pants, easy wearing stuff, people just dont seem to do the posh frock and high heels out there, no one really cares...

* Bars in Olu Deniz - the ones we went too which were really good were, HELP ~(live music venue) and BUZZ BAR and HARRYS.. these are all located on the front promenade overlooking the beach, however saying that are so many to choose from , these were just our favourites.

* The little town of Olu Deniz is a busy little place, but its certainly not Benidorm or Magaluf, so if you want something like that stay just less than a mile away in Hisonaru, this isnt on the beach but access to olu deniz is not far by little local buses that run every 10 mins.

* Massage and Turksih Bath, Hairdressing, Nails
Across Olu Deniz if found that hotel prices and Street prices are all the same for whatever you want done.... Massage at hotel is 40 lira (not alot compared to UK) Hairdressing, for eg a wash cut and blow is 30 lira and wash and blow just 20 lira..... Nails about 40 lira for full set, the best deal i found was 95 lira at hotel but this was a package... incl, sauna, hair wash, turkish hot batch, body scrub, whole body mud treatment, massage for milk then to finish with a reflexology session and face pack...... its a really good price for two and half hours of pampering and defo worth the money... your skin comes out feeling so soft and younger looking, i never really belived all that til i had it, one for the girls if ya man is off doing a parachite jump...... you wont be disapponted,,,, and for the men they do a proper cut throat razor shave which lasts for about 3 days, and that costs 10 lira which was just less than £4.00 - four quid for gods sake, you can just about buy a pint for that over here right now.......

*Take mozzy spray, its not too bad in May but as the week progressed it got a little bit worse.

* Pharmacy in Olu Deniz...... they have everything you can imagine here, and the girls speak excellent english if you need to visit for any reason, just tell um whats wrong and they sort it for you. NO Problem. Prices aint to bad either, so dont worry about that. Cheaper than here.

*Plugs - you need a two prongue rounded plug socket for you appliaces, Take a couple if you can, or you will probably argue with spouse about him charging his phone and me wanting to plug my straighteners in... LOL....

* Bedrooms in resort aint massive but actually fairly small, but you everything you need, bathrooms are decent and clean, balconys a bit small but ok for stroing your lilos etc and there is a unit on balcony to dry you wet bikinis etc

* The ALL INCL is from 10.00 - 12.00 so plenty of drinking time. and if you are going on a trip for the day, ask them to give you a bottle or two of water, they will take out of there fridge at any bar and just give um to ya..... will save ya a few lira when out and about. (gives you more for a massage..... :)

Overall this resort is lovely and the town is equally lovely , it is very safe for everyone, and the boys or girls outside the shops trying to pull in trade dont hastle you to badly, Just say no thanks and smile...... they wont bother you again, it really is that chilled there.......
If you want any info at all please contact me, its not a problem at all and ill answer anything i can.
If not, then have a damn great holiday, i know you will.
See ya Janet x

My husband,6 year old son and myself , booked a last minute holiday to this hotel. This was not our first time to Olu Deniz so we new the location of the hotel was central and right next to the beach.
This was the first time we had done All Inclusive and we where not dissappointed. The food standard was excellent, AND THERE WAY PLENTY OF CHOICE FOR EVERYONE AND IT WAS FRESH.(Far to much on offer to list but here are a few- Breakfast, pasteries and bread, cereals, fruit, bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes omelette-Lunch, breads, salads, fish, chicken rice dishes, pizza, curry, spagetti, extensive desserts, Evening meals, like lunch but usually curry, seafood dishes salmon, calamari, seafood curry or stir fry again excellent range of desserts.
( My husband is extreamly fussy when it comes to food and he loved it , especially the curry and rice and the deserts as there was so much choice)
Basically you had breakfast 7.30-11.30, Lunch, 12.30-2.30 and evening meal, 7.30-9 or10.30, there is a snack bar 0pen from 10.30-4pm which does hot dogs , burgers, nuggets, salad chips, bread.
Pancakes are made from 10.30- 4pm
There are two accommodation sides to this hotel the new side where on the web site you see the up to date rooms or the old side the more traditional green furnished rooms, so be sure to say to your tour operator which one you would prefer. The rooms are cleaned every day and fresh bed linin every day too.
The hotel grounds are excellent and so are the staff, they keep you entertaind around the pool with games and stuff.
I could only find one falut with this hotel, there is a kids club and it is not very secure and the toys and equipment are quite old, however the baby pool and spacious area is good. It was not used much when we stayed but it was the start of the season.
All in all this hotel was fantastic and we spoke to the manager to tell him so, he told us it is under new management and that is why some previous reviews are bad on this web site but he and his staff have done a excellent job to turn this hotel around to make it a very enjoyable stay.HIGHLY RECCOMMENDED

Room Tip: Ask to be in the new appartments they are in a excellent location and are furnished excellent.

We stayed here for 11 days in the middle of May. Having read previous reviews my expectations were not that high, but we were on a budget and needed a chill out holiday. This hotel far exceeded our expectations in every way. We were allocated one of the older rooms which were in the gardens, giving the place a carribean feel. The rooms were dated but more than adequate, they were clean, had a powerful shower and decent hairdryer. Kettle and tea bags were provided in the room, take your own coffee if that is your preference. The weather was quite stormy on our first day so we booked a turkish bath at the spa, well worth the money. My husband had a shave, he said it was the best shave ever and went back every day after that, he also had his hair cut there. We found all the staff were friendly and efficient, the bar staff were especially good but a little overstretched when it got busy in the evening.. We did not watch much of the evening entertainment but what we did see was quite amusing. The food was exceptional for an all inclusive, you will not starve here. The only critisism I could make is that was sometimes it was warm, not hot, this didn't bother me but it might bother some people. We ate out twice, not because we were bored with the food, it's just something we like to do. Really good steak at the Buzz Bar, really bad steak at the X Factor Bar. We walked to the lagoon, the beach is shingle and the water is not as blue as the photos make out. We did not catch the free minibus from the hotel to Club Sun City beach, I wish we had because apparently the beach is sandy on that side of the lagoon, the sunbeds are free but you have to buy your own drinks there. We caught the dolmus to Fethiye market which is on a Tuesday, it is massive and there are bargains to be had if you barter. Olu deniz itself is a little gem of a resort, the people are so friendly and not in your face like Egypt, Tunisia and the like. Yes they do ask you to come into their resturants and shops, but they don't hassle you if you say "no thanks". The last holiday we had in Turkey was a 5 star luxury spa hotel and although this is not 5 star it was a far more enjoyable holiday. We went to chill out, and thats exactly what we did, thanks to all the staff at Oludeniz Resort Hotel for a wonderful holiday. I would definately recommend this hotel and am looking forward to a return visit.

Have just got back from a lovely holiday at this hotel.Couldn't fault anything.Staff were absolutely brilliant and could'nt do enough for you.Food was brilliant, so well presnted and so much of it.We requested a superior room with a sea view, would advise not to do this unless you like hiking up the mountain. However as soon as we asked to change rooms the porter was there to take our luggage to our new room. All within half an hour.Would advise anybody to request rooms in the new blocks as they are right beside the pool and are lovely.Already looking to go back in September
