I flew in to surprise my husband who had a 24 hour layover on his way back from Rio. This place was perfect! Ignacio graciously allowed me to checkin early. I was able to come straight from the airport and get a couple hours of shut-eye. It was a cold morning and the tile floors were heated, the mattress so comfy! I like fluffy pillows and these were a bit flat, but that didn't stop me from sleeping like the dead! So quiet and safe! The whole place has beautiful rustic charm. Fantastic! Room was clean, shower was hot and strong enough (better than home). The wifi worked in the room after I went into the restaurant and established a connection. Thanks to Ignacio who went the extra mile loaning me adapters, glasses, corkscrew...everything I needed to make a lovely surprise for my husband's birthday! Location was/is great!

We stumbled on this place and decided to give it a try. A great rate of 400 pesos for a double helped seal the deal. The room on the first floor was fine, although it could of used a touch of paint and a new shower curtain!

The restaurant which is run seperately was quite nice and busy every night.

Our rate supposedly included breakfast - but it turned out to be a disapointing hit or miss affair.

First morning was great with coffee, tea, hot milk, cheese, ham, spreadable cheese, butter, jellies, fruit. But from there it quickly went down hill, subsequent mornings we felt like the restaurant was doing us a favor to give us something for breakfast and offerings diminished day by day. Our final morning we wanted to get an early start and were told straight out that we were out if luck - no food till 8am - nothing, not even a cup of coffee.

Problem as mentioned is that the restaurant staff really does not care about the hotel guests as the restaurant is under different management. However, breakfast was promised by hotel staff and they should pay more attention to being sure that hotel and restaurant staff are on the same page in terms of customer service.

This was a definite letdown for us'

It was one of the worst hotels we stayed in in our 3 weeks trip around Argentina. Starting from a terrible district (really dodgy, dirty and dangerous especially in the evenings) to the rooms that were dark and moldy. At first ,they shown us a terrible room with mold on the walls and on the ceiling, after we refused to stay there we were directed to a better room. Room design was ok, kind of modern, and also the outdoor garden was quite nice for breakfast. We liked the hotel's restaurant though, it served good lunch (although the service was quite slow) and breakfast was not bad. All in all the hotel to be avoided, the restaurant worth visiting.

Although the place looks really nice because of the restaurant, we were not very pleased about the quality of the room and the attitude of the owner. The room is okay for the bed and heating in the floor (not for all rooms). The bathroom is very small, especially the shower place there is not much space and looks a bit filthy. Almost no water from the shower, unless you want the shower too hot too stay in it. The towels all smelled like cigarette smoke, also the new ones we had asked. Wifi did not really work well in the rooms, although it was promised. There is no one to help you at a reception. It is actually a restaurant place that provides some rooms to earn some extra money. The owner and other guy that were available were arrogant and didn't want to help you really. The day we left there was actually no one available for check out before 9 ' o clock. They had to shake the owner out of bed, whom was not amused with this. The hotel was a bad experience, that's not worth the money.
The hotel is situated on a nice location near the plaza of San Telmo though,

Beautiful and charming hotel located in the heart of San Telmo, within walking distance to La Boca, Puerto Madero and Casa Rosada.
The rooms are lovely and clean, fitted with refrigerators, TV and air conditioning. The hotel is built inside a patio, making it a very charming place to stay, the rooms quietly hidden from the buzz and nightlife of San Telmo. The cosy restaurant offers fantastic food with a daily menu to reasonable prices. Don't hesitate to ask Juan or Santiago for tips on where to eat, places to see or things to do; they will go out of their way to help you and ensuring you're having a great stay. I was particularly impressed with the help we got with booking tickets to Montevideo.
I warmly recommend this gorgeous place: fantastic staff, great location, brilliant neighbour hood.
