A small but very clean room and bathroom. No air conditioning, but, yes, a fan which made it very comfortable. A small but ok breakfast. What more can you expect for the price??
They need better curtains on the window.
I found all streets in the city to be noisy but I could not hear any street noise from my room.
Mirta (the manager) was very friendly and always ready to make up the room. The owner (Martin) arranged several sight seeing tours for me. He was very helpful and made my trip to Buenos Aires much more enjoyable.
Look at the price and you will get your monies worth (not a 5 star hotel with bell boys).
I would give it a good rating if it would show up when I click on the ratings on this site. ahhhh --- they only work after you try to submit.

We were open minded when we booked seven nights here in January 2014. Appalled when we arrived, hot and dusty after an overnight bus from Iguacu, to find this establishment, I cannot call it an hotel, was in a noisy, narrow street and the only access is up 34 very steep steps - no help with our cases.
The room was not very clean, but to our horror we realised there was no aircon. We were given a rickety old electric fan, held together with adhesive tape, when we asked about aircon. The bathroom was dirty, grime on the light switch and basin tap accumulated over weeks of not being cleaned and the floor drain had no cover on it. No ventilation in the room other than the doorway and window onto the dirty courtyard, hence no security. Other inhabitants, obviously with a lower cleanliness threshold, partyied on until the small hours. The room was akin to a furnace.
Breakfast, and I use the word in the literal sense of 'breaking the fast', was a flask of lukewarm water and a couple of tea bags, a couple of coffee bags and four sticky buns. In honesty, having seen the room the manager uses as an office, bedroom, cum food preparation room, we were probably lucky that breakfast was not a more grand affair.
We booked through www.hotels.com and 'daily housekeeping' was offered, but no one came near our 'cell' to make the bed, check the towels etc. We suffered two nights and surrendered to common sense and moved elsewhere, forfeiting our remaining five nights, but regaining our health and sanity prospects.
Please, please, do not book this accommodation if you value your health!
