We stayed at Jasy for 2 nights in early January. The rooms are massive and could easily fit a family of 5. It was clean and offered everything you need. The swimming pool was the perfect place to come after a visit to the falls and in truth we could have stayed an extra night. The restaurant was also very good. Location wise it is about a 10 minute walk to the 'centre' of town, whether it's the bus station or Av Brasilia where there are a few lively restaurants and bars. Would stay again.

Really enjoyed our two nights at Jasy. Room was clean, spacious and with air conditioning. Bathroom was a little old and basic but much better than other jungle hotels I've stayed at over the years. The brick bungalows are solid and provide a lot of privacy, we slept very soundly.

Also notable is the restaurant. The guys who work there are incredibly friendly and helpful and they serve a decent menu plus great cocktails. We didn't see anywhere in town we'd rather fine at, so we returned on our second night.

Overall this is not a luxury hotel but is a great place to stay just a few blocks from the center of town, yet it feels much further into the jungle. Would definitely recommend to friends.

Our room was very tired and worn. The shower sink handles were falling off, the sink faucet dripped, the shower was never more than lukewarm and the towels were threadbare. The linens also were worn and the bath mat looked dirty. It was nice to have a big, basically two room place, but there wasn't a handrail for the steep steps leading to the loft, making it a scary middle of the night proposition. The common areas were nice but the pool paint was peeling. The staff was helpful and the breakfasts were very good, although dinner was overrpriced. I think for the price there are much better hotels.

We stayed here for two nights, and really enjoyed our time there. We arrived in the early evening to a tropical thunderstorm, and really appreciated the spacious balcony to watch it over a few glasses of wine (chilled in the great fridge provided). We had to eat in the restaurant that night as it was too wet to walk into town. The food was just okay, and we felt the menu was limited and pricey (especially the wine). The accommodation is, as others have pointed out, huge! The bed was comfortable, with good air conditioning, and the room was clean. We had no problems at all with mosquitoes, but appreciated the plug-in deterrent if needed. The bus to the falls is a 5-10 min walk away, as are restaurants and bars of the town. Overall, for the prices they charge, the Jasy is really great value.

We stayed here for three nights to visit the falls and the dam. The rooms are enormous and can accomodate up to 6 people easily. Though that might be a challenge since there is only one bathroom for each room. Don't worry, the rooms are charged by how many people occupy the room. The property is peaceful and relaxing. The pools is also enjoyable after a long day of walking in the heat.

The beds were nice and firm, with comfortable pillows. Each room has an overhead fan, air conditioner, large refrigerator, couch, and dining table. The rooms are a bit rustic; I would call it jungle lodging. The bathrooms were ok. Toilet seat was made of plastic (odd to sit on) and the shower floor wasn't properly levelled to the drain. Water tended to accumulate on side, but they provide you a squegee help move the water to the drain (awkward). The bathrooms comes also with a bidet. The sink is on the outside of the bathroom, but the sink is tiny. Water pressure is decent.

We stayed in room 1, one night. This room had mosquite issues, I had killed about 12 before bed, but still got eaten quite a bit. I had asked to change rooms and luckily room 2 was available and was much better. The staff was very accomodating and moved us over. I was still a bit leary; but the staff was able to provide us with mosquito netting for the bed, which very much reassured me. Each room is also provided with mosquito repellant plug-in, but I don't think it's much of a deterrent.

Internet access is hit or miss. It works best near the dining room, but again not very reliable. Breakfast in the morning has wonderful selection of carbohydrates, but light on the protein. However you can get eggs made to order. There is also some fruits and cereals available. The restaurant is good, food was delicious. We ate here one of the night. Unfortunate downside with the hotel is that they only take cash (euro, dollars, pesos, reals), no credit cards. There are several ATMs in town.

Lastly the location is about a 20 minute walk from the center of town or the bus station. The walk to the bus station is slightly uphill. The neighborhood you walk thru is safe. The last few meters to the hotel slopes down. The sidewalk is not completely paved and the street is cobblestoned. So having rolling luggage might be a pain.

Room Tip: Avoid room one, we had mosquito issue this time of year.
