It is great fun to hear Gilbert tell his story in his little micro-brewery and to sample the beers from light to dark. Food is also tastily satisfactory, and the pub has a homey feeling. Do not write it off. We ran into cyclists stopping there for sustenance and enjoying the lamb stew and a brew. Gilbert is going places; he just isn't totally there yet.

We were here as a stop on a two week group tour. Tommy, the brewer, was fun to listen to but his beer isn't that great. We also ate here and the food was OK but not worth a second visit.

Stopped here as part of an afternoon bus tour. Great craft beers and tasting platter of smoked local produce. We tried 3 craft beers. The stout was my favorite. Worth a visit.

We visited Gilbert's with our tour group for lunch and a tour of Tommy's micro brewery. Tommy the Brewer gave a fun and enlightening presentation of the history of the place as well as the making of the beer. We then had a pleasant lunch of local appetisers, goulash with gnocchi followed by ice cream. We tasted 3 beers including an IPA and a stout that I enjoyed the most.
