Stayed 2 nights in this property with a group of 10+ family and friends. We received a great offer from cominication via email with Luna, resort manager. The deal included breakfast and dinner which was great value.

The rooms were great. Lots of space, a mini kitchenette with a microwave and sink was a great bonus. Open air bathroom was a treat and Everything was very clean and modern.

The pool area was good and drinks/food quite reasonable. The youngin of the group loved ten vailima towers, which were the equivalent of 10 bottles of vailima for only 45 tala! Staff were helpful but sometimes a little confused or slow to react. More lack of knowledge vs tardiness. One qualm we did have was that the owners allowed cultural practice to take place for a good portion of one of our days. Which involved loud drums, music and chanting from th two groups of dancers. Probably interesting for some guests o see but since we are well accustomed to this sort of dancing our group it more of a hassle and disturbance vs interesting. In other properties that we have stayed on, the groups practiced out to the back of the resort as to avoid disrupting guests. This would have been more ideal.

Otherwise, great stay. Good prices. Great rooms and good staff!

Would return!

Room Tip: All rooms are great and close to the pool area so just book and go!

Le Manumea is well located – it’s in the hills on the Cross Island Road, not far from town. They can arrange pick-up / drop-off to the airport, even for flights in the middle of the night. The ride only takes about 40 minutes from the airport and is reasonably priced. We had ‘Pete’ do the transfer – a wealth of information on Samoa. Would recommend Pete.

The resort is cosy and the staff are friendly – our stay was made personal. The rooms are spacious, and the outside shower / bathrooms are really cool.

Our room did lack some attention to detail – there was a broken lamp shade, broken shelving in the kitchen area and the fridge handle wasn’t clean. The fridge didn’t cool properly, and this was attended to by Luna straight away – there was a replacement up and running when we got back after a day out, and they’d filled it with our drinks, which were lovely and cold.

Our deal included a standard breakfast, which was fine – eggs, cereal and toast. We could have ‘upgraded’ for a small charge, but didn’t. Dinner options during our stay were limited – a buffet was put on on most nights, but the amount of choice varied and the quality was only OK. Apia however offers excellent alternatives – we loved Paddles!

Would we stay again? Yes, if in Apia but we’d eat out more.

The hotel is a little way from the centre of town and the units are nice and quiet with air cond and a really novel outdoor bathroom. Having the kitchenette is a real bonus but there was also breakfast included as late as needed which was nice. There are shops and restaurants near and it's a short taxi ride to the city, but renting a car is a good idea as you can then visit every part of upolo, and try all the beaches around.

Stayed here for 4 nights in August. First impression was room could be a bit cleaner.Just walked into our room when arrived and there was a dead cockroach on floor. Floor in room looked like it had been given just a little sweep. Not much care taken to get it extra clean for a new guest arriving.Curtains were in need of a wash covered with dust and muck.Room was spacious. Had a mini kitchenette if you wanted to make a little bite to eat had a microwave, fridge and the basics of cutlery. The best part of the room was the outdoor shower.
Room rate included breakfast. Which consisted of toast and 1 egg any style you wanted it cooked.A bowl of cornflakes and a little fruit. The fruit most of the time didn't look to fresh. Looked on the old side. Had a swimming pool and a bar. Never tried the hotel restaurant as wasn't to impressed with the breakfast however the drinks at the bar were reasonably priced. There is a lovely restaurant down the road from the hotel called Scalini's which I would highly recommend.

We stayed at Le Manumea for 7 nights in early August 2012. Luna and her excellent staff welcomed us with their warm friendly smiles and instantly made us feel at home in this beautiful piece of paradise.
Being up on the hill, we appreciated having the cool breezes, and still only a few minutes into town and local shops nearby for Valima's and ice creams!
Our room was spacious for our family of four with a king size bed and two singles. The little kitchen enabled us to keep our drinks cold & make a snack if we wanted.
Hubby appreciated having air-con, but opening up the windows and having the fan on was enough to keep the room comfortable. The outdoor bathoom was a real highlight and an excellent area to dry your bathers & towels! The pool was always a quiet place to relax. Luna and her staff are preparing to launch their own Fia Fia night in September, so we enjoyed watching the girls learning the new dances, so beautiful!
The restaurant staff are always very obliging, breakfast plentiful, fresh and delicious (my daughter loved the pancakes!!) and dinner also very delicious and generous! There is also a fantastic curry place across the road.
Thank you Luna for making us feel so welcome and for providing such a gorgeous place to stay with friendly and proffessional staff that are truly an asset to you.
During our two weeks in Samoa we visited several other hotels/resorts for meals and they had such a generic and impersonal feel compared to Le Manumea. This would definately be our only choice in the future, thank you again Luna and staff, we cant wait to come back soon!
