What an odd title for a review, huh?!?!? Ok.....this is a nice hotel/place to stay. Convenient, right off I 17 - Black Canyon Highway (?) - sorry, not from the area. Grounds are safe and they are clean. Security walks the property during the overnight - there are adjacent hotels, too - a Best Western and a Marriott Tower Suites and another Marriott up the street. So, it is not "that bad/unsafe." But.....ummmm, don't drive around much during the late night looking for restaurant or food options. For example, when you arrive late from a flight and are hungry on a weekday night?!?!? Ugh....yeah, I was reminded of northeast inner city and am used to it so did not get into trouble, etc., but, I was looking for a food option around 10:00 pm on a weekday night in Phoenix and the options were very minimal. Driving around at night in the immediate area can be eye opening if you are not used to the city. Hotel was clean, comfortable, and welcoming. Breakfast was very good with a very good variety. Popcorn is a nice addition at night. Coffee was always on. Security is spot on. Internet was good. Room was good, water pressure and temperature were good. Bedding was comfortable - room was on third floor - very quiet - no issues sleeping. Pleasant enough stay. Served the purpose and very convenient for the out of town traveler-visitor.

Thank you.

I stayed here for work this week after staying at a couple of newer, fancier places over a long weekend with my wife and surprisingly for a very inexpensive hotel this was very nice. Though it is not brand new it is very well maintained and super clean. The room was very comfortable and had a mini fridge and microwave. The furniture did not seem to be worn and the beds were very comfortable. The only downsides to the room were the remote control seemed sketchy and from 15 years ago, though the TV was newer, and the shower was turning yellowish from age. The gym is tiny and the pool and a ton of tree droppings in it that made it look gross as well.

The staff at check in and the evening was very helpful and friendly. Breakfast was the same as every other low/mid lever Marriott property so nothing of note there. There are a ton of restaurant options one exit up the highway though mostly chains and it was difficult to find unique local restaurants.

Overall a great work trip and a very inexpensive hotel. I will be back the next time I am in town.

We stayed here from the airport on our way to Sedona. The rooms were very spacious, with a desk, kitchenette, settee, bedroom, bathroom with shower and seperate washbasin area. The space was very much needed because we had an 11 month old. The hotel was very quiet (except maybe our 11 month old). The breakfast was brilliant though in a relaxed area near reception. There were good quality hot and cold foods. Although not a massive selection like a big hotel, the quality of the food was really good. The staff were happy, helpful and cheerful throughout the hotel from cleaners to reception staff.

This property is conveniently located just off Black Canyon Hwy.north.
The staff was pleasant & efficient, but I found the property itself was a little dated & quite ordinary for a Marriott. The rooms were clean & breakfast was plentiful, but average.
There is a very nice shopping center nearby & I would stay again for its convenient location

The staff is very friendly and service is great. The breakfast was delicious every morning. The beds were extremely comfortable and they had rooms that accommodated families of 5, meaning three beds. The only draw back is they don’t have much for pool side seating, so the enjoyment of the pool was limited due to seating. That is an easy fix. Other than that is was a great hotel.
