I had no reservation, just got into town and was able to check in at 2 AM. Greeted by a friendly face. Room was extremely clean and the King bed was so comfortable. I would definitely recommend and will be back myself.

Room was never cleaned, towels were dirty, sheets stained, pool is a dark green, unusable. Had to sleep on top of bedspread, got to room at midnight, complained to office, they cleaned it but only left two towels, and a towel for floor, no wash cloths, bathroom door didn't shut due to poor maintenance, they used wrong hinges. Price is cheap but not worth it.

When we first visited this property, my wife and I really had a difficult time finding the combined Travelodge Knights Inn Phoenix North, located here at 2735 W. Sweetwater Ave, in Phoenix, Arizona.

We simply could NOT follow, nor could we understand, the Mapquest Directions to this property. Finally we stopped a street-person (really, an honest to goodness street-person) and asked him IF by chance he could assist us. He said "I live here and this is how you get there." I handed him a Five Dollar ($5) bill for his trouble. He turned out to be 100% spot-on accurate.

IN case someone cares : Going either North or South, on Interstate 17 (I-17), you exit Cactus Road. Go to the West on West Cactus Road. Turn North on the first street you come to, North 28th Drive. Drive North past West Larkspur Drive and turn right at West Sweetwater Avenue. The Travelodge will be on you right (South side). One of the best $5 bills I have ever spent.

This is our second stay at this combined property, Travelodge / Knights Inn North Phoenix. Our last stay was at the Knights Inn. We got a great Priceline room rate and are here for 8-nights. Previously we stayed 21-days at the Knights Inn.

The front desk staff are very good. We asked for a downstairs room and we got one. We asked for a room close to our parking area and we got that also. We have a single King bed that is very comfortable. The bathroom is large and clean. We do not ever use housekeeping so have no comments on that aspect of our stay. We did not have wash cloths so we asked for, and received, them. We had a problem with the televison remote control and were promptly given a brand new unit.

We have stayed here before, we liked it, we have returned. We will certainly consider this property during any furture visit to Phoenix. We have not noticed, nor have we been bothered by unruly people, other guests or street people. Our room number 124 was exellent.

Room Tip: Get a facing North room if here in the warm months.

Old, warn furnishings. Barely clean. Had to go to office EVERY day and ask for towels. They had no wash cloths or bath mats. One day upon our return we found they had removed the sheets and pillow cases but had not replaced them... that was at 6:00 p.m. Did not eat their "free" breakfast. The lady "monitoring" the room was very rude and unfriendly. The only food items we saw was several loafs of bread and some cold cereal - which you could not determine how long it had been sitting in the containers. We were supposed to receive a discount for AARP - did not get that. The television reception was awful - no clear picture and for having cable, very limited channels available. There is a pool there, but for there was no water in the pool. When asked the front desk about this we were told the Health Department had shut it down. The staff at the desk were "questionable". A lot of the staff there did not speak English so had some difficulty communicating. We went to Arizona on a last minute trip and this was the only hotel with vacancies. I can see why... anyone who has ever stayed there would never return. We left early every morning and never returned before 6:00 - 7:00 at night. One evening while, again, trying to get clean towels, I witnessed a verbal argument between cleaning staff and front desk staff. They were actually screaming at each other. I would rather sleep in my car than stay at this dump

Room Tip: Run, don't walk away from this horrible place
