Description: Celebrated as one of the top 20 "Best New Restaurants" in the U.S. by Esquire Magazine immediately upon opening in 2013, as well as nominated by the prestigious James Beard Foundation for "Best New Restaurant" in 2014, Virtù is Chef Gio Osso's intimate, stylish gathering spot tucked inside Old Town Scottsdale's charming Bespoke Inn bed and breakfast. Chef Osso is a long-time Phoenix area favorite, having cooked in countless award-winning local kitchens before fulfilling his life-long dream of opening a restaurant of his own in 2013 with Virtu, where his ever-changing menu features a modern, global approach to his Mediterranean family roots. At Virtù, the Machiavellian term for achieving excellence, expect a wandering, Mediterranean-inspired menu that changes almost weekly, sometimes daily, featuring handmade pastas, premium seasonal produce sourced from some of Arizona's most celebrated farmers, superb seafood imported from the most notable fish markets in North America and southern Europe, as well as a seasonal cocktail program crafted with fresh-pressed juices and unique spirits. Chef Osso often refers to the food - and the vibe - of Virtu as a "beautifully composed symphony of sights, scents and tastes".

My sister and I had dinner on the night they reopened after a fire. It's a lovely restaurant, seating inside and outside. We ate outside and it was beautiful with open fires around the patio. The food was exceptional but it is a luxury restaurant and the prices reflect that. We met the chef and he was very personable.

This restaurant offers simple, fresh food in a relaxed atmosphere. I really enjoyed the octopus dish that I had—and that’s saying a lot because I don’t really like octopus. The prices were reasonable for the quality.

We were staying at Bespoke Inn and on the property in the court yard is this wonderful space which is the Virtu restaurant. We had the pumpkin gnocchi and the spaghetti with artichokes, an egg, bacon and Parmesan. Both pastas were excellentas they were well balanced in flavour. I truly believe they were the best pastas I have had in years. We also shared the chocolate salted caramel cake with sorbet that was also the best cake I have had in a very long time. We loved the food and the space. My only complaint would be the young server that seemed to lack any excitement. Despite this I would highly recommend this fine restaurant! Enjoy!

Let me start by saying that even if the food was average, the ambiance would make up for it. This is a beautiful indoor/outdoor establishment with doors welcoming onto a quaint patio. This is a very romantic atmosphere, and would be a great choice for a date or even a proposal. The service is en pointe, but the menu is a bit challenging: I don't say that in a negative way at all. It's just that even with a solid culinary knowledge, one might need some guidance from the server as many items are very unusual and obscure. The menu changes regularly - sometimes daily. A little on the spendy side, but definitely worth it.
