Poor layout of rooms, weird room access (behind the building, off a dark pathway), and most rooms do not have a view. If you travel with a friend who has their own room, request a connecting room, because a "room right next to yours" does not mean easy access. You have to go down the back stairs, walk the dark pathway, and go up the next stairs to your friend's room. Technically, it is next to yours, but not easy to get to. Upon check-in, there was a hard sell to attend a timeshare sales pitch. The room itself was in need of updating. TV is small, bathroom shower had hard water stains and mold. This does not live up to my idea of Hilton standards. I will find somewhere else to stay when visiting Sedona.

Room tip: Choose a different hotel.

My family of 9 (including a baby) just spent 5 days at this resort and had a marvelous time. We chose this destination after by chance I met a woman who has a time share there, goes every year, and raved about the experience..

Our suites were lovely and obviously had been upgraded fairly recently, done extremely well. The rooms had blackout shades and were very quiet, promoting good sleep. The kitchens were well equipped with everything one needs to cook full meals. The resort provided us with a highchair. We could get all 9 of us comfortably around the table in a Mesa Suite (two bedrooms) for dining and playing card and board games.

The grounds are spacious, with numerous pools and spas and other fun amenities, including a labyrinth, hammock complex, putting green, and life sized checker set. Our units were nearby to the large Sunset pool and spa, which were very popular with our group and other guests. That spa is enormous, with a water temperature that was just right. When we got there, I went to test the water temperatures and asked a man in the spa how it was. He replied, “Somewhere between beautiful and perfect.”

The staff is very responsive, particularly impressive because the resort was at full capacity when we were there. The grounds are immaculate, and whenever we needed a resupply we immediately found a staffer nearby our units. The resort is very well run. Huge credit to Assistant General Manager Luis Felix, who stepped in and promptly resolved an issue with our accommodations at check-in.

The location is great, west of town outside the bustle and traffic and very close to grocery stores, restaurants, and other shops of all sorts. The resort abuts a huge National Forest that has lots of hiking trails. Other hiking trails with great views of the red rocks, including Cathedral Rock, were within a 10 minute drive. A junior college is a short walk from the resort, and its huge parking lots are a perfect vantage point to view the spectacular sunsets.

The negatives others have mentioned in reviews were not issues for us. The internet access in the rooms was sufficient to support email and headline searches – those in our group who needed more for work went to tables in the lobby and found that very satisfactory. The resort does not have a café or restaurant, but we would not have used that as there were countless options within a short and scenic drive and we fully stocked our kitchen at the nearby Whole Foods and Safeway. The concierge staff were helpful in giving us information we requested and never gave us a sales pitch about buying a time shares or activities.

Our time there was in a word, wonderful. It met and exceeded our high expectations and provided good value for what we paid.

I would say the room was nice we had 1 bedroom unit, full kitchen, fireplace, washer and driver. The bathroom was very large - odd set up. Resort is located at the West end of Sedona away from the traffic. If you want to go into Sedona downtown plan for a little traffic but the views on the way are fantastic.
I was disappointed that most of the rooms don't really have a great view of the landscape outside but we didn't spend much time at the resort and we went hiking and exploring to see the scenery,
Checking in they were more concerned with trying to get me to sign up for a timeshare session then going through everything with the resort check in.
WHY is there a RESORT FEE? Makes ZERO sense - We had to pay another 200.00 in fees and we got nothing for this??? We had NO maid service or change of towels, linens. This fee is a reason I would not go back to this resort and stay at a different resort. If we got something for the fee or it made sense what they fee gave us - *Nothing no special amenities

Hilton should not have put their name on this property until it was up to what Honors members expect from a Hilton property. NO WiFi. Complete bait and switch as they know they don’t have wifi anywhere but the lobby yet it’s not * noted as such in the amenities. We had work to do and kids had homework due. Had to spend out first day at a Starbucks for wifi. Would never had booked this property had we known. Run down. Safety lock on back patio door broken. “Fixed” it by bolting it permanently shut, leaving us without the use of our patio and fresh air First floor rooms are like basements with little sunlight. Very surprised Hilton would dupe their loyal members like this.

I am sorry to hear that we didn't meet your expectations. Please note that we are currently in the middle of a wifi upgrade that we hope to have completed in early spring. There are a number of great things to come now that we are a part of the Hilton family. We hope that you give us another chance in the near future.

The Hilton Grand Vacation spot in Sedona needs major work. The thermostat didn't work right in our room (auto fan wouldn't go on/off). The rerefrigerator was so noisy - ran loud on and off all night mutiple times. Has to be super old to make that much noise. The room overall was very dated with worn furniture and bathroom fixtures. They say they just bought the place, but they need to upgrade the rooms. It was worth maybe $120 per night, and we of course paid in the $250 range (sign unseen). Consumers expect a nice experience for that price. Also, no coffee shop, no bar, not even a small market to buys snacks. Again, lower the price if you are offering a low price experience. The staff was pleasant and the pools/jacuzzis were nice. I will definitely not go back to this location when I return to Sedona.
