We arrived to Matterhorn after a 2 hour drive from Phoenix. The hotel is situated in the heart of Sedona and is minutes from shopping, eating, and hiking. On the surface Matterhorn appears to be an old motel, but trust me it’s so much more. Please be aware, parking can be a little difficult at times. Most of the lots in front of the hotel will be taken depending on what time you arrive. Don’t worry, there are plenty of options around. The check in process was straight forward. The lady at the front was friendly and accommodating. Our room was on the second floor. There are steps on both ends of the property that lead up to the rooms on the second floor. Our room was extremely clean with a view to live for. The red rock canyon and shopping below created an unforgettable ambiance. Most nights we sat on the balcony and people watched. The bed was very comfortable, I had no complaints. The bathroom was modern and well appointed. These rooms were certainly well maintained, modern and clean. Outside of this property were shopping and dining options galore. Again it was situated in the heart of Sedona. You have access to pretty much anything your heart desires. I recommend Sedona Pizza Co. We had it on our first night and it was splendid. I would easily stay here again. I would easily stay here again. It’s now my go to whenever we decide to visit Sedona. You won’t regret your stay. It’s a solid 5 stars for me.
