Phenomenal experience

I absolutely loved our stay at El Portal. Every inch of it was intentionally planned to give the guests a tranquil retreat. Connie and Steve were lovely hosts- friendly and very helpful with tips on the area. Staying there was like being wrapped in a cozy blanket. I felt like I received an authentic Sedona experience at El Portal. I would love to return someday.

Excellent Experience

We decided on Sedona for my birthday and as we were looking for a place to stay El Portal caught our attention because it looked so cozy and unique! Where do I begin the experience at El Portal was amazing! It’s a small little hotel full of history, it’s owned and ran by a in my opinion very special couple Steve and Connie (goals) love them, so full of life! You will definitely NOT get their kind of hospitality in one of those sterile corporate hotels. El Portal made the experience of Sedona so much more special. Beautiful energy and it’s in a GREAT location! I will definitely be back! Hopefully this summer.

AMAZING Boutique Hotel in Perfect Location!!!

My wife and I were able to stay at this hotel during our New Years Eve visit and had an AMAZING stay!!!

We stayed in the Flat Rock #5 room and it was perfect - A TON of character, spacious, and just perfectly appointed with everything we needed. In addition, the hotel also has a complimentary breakfast bar, as well as a well-appointed mini bar in the Great Room where you can purchase beer and wine.

We were between this hotel and the Wilde Resort when we were booking and we're so HAPPY that we chose this hotel, due to the character and location - You're literally steps away from the Tlaquepaque Arts & Shopping Village and all of the downtown area so you just can't beat the location!!! The Owners (Steve and Connie) were also super nice and the entire staff was amazing!!!

We will definitely be coming back and staying at El Portal the next time we visit Sedona - 5 STARS!!!

We came to Sedona for our honeymoon and our stay at the El Portal was amazing! The location is prime and great service.

Our stay at the El Portal was amazing from beginning to end! The hotel grounds are beautiful and the rooms are so cozy and romantic. The location is prime and service was stellar! We liked it some much we stayed an additional night! We will definitely visit again!

Great launchpad for Sedona

Nicely maintained rooms, ours (6) was nice and private, nice setup with free non-alc drinks and snacks, very friendly and helpful proprietor. Walkable to lots of restaurants and coffee shops. Would absolutely come back and stay here again! Just a warning - not a ton of parking, so don’t bring multiple cars…
