Description: A Sedona favorite and gathering place for decades, the all-new 89Agave is an outstanding Mexican restaurant with a fun, casual vibe, located in the heart of Uptown Sedona. Open for lunch and dinner, you'll enjoy authentic Sonoran-style Mexican cuisine, cooked simply, with the freshest of seasonal ingredients and served to you on our vibrant street-side patio or our Mexican art-inspired dining room. 89Agave also features an expansive copper-topped bar and an extensive selection of specialty tequilas, signature drinks and handcrafted margaritas, including a 100 percent organic Margarita that is out-of-this-world.

We enjoyed a plate of fajitas, enchiladas and street tacos. While the food was tasty and had an abundance of fresh vegetables, it was average considering the above-average prices ($18 for three tacos?) Also, our bill came with a mystery charge of $2 for "taco split." My son loved his horchata drink, which I agree was very flavorful; but prickly pear margarita was watery. The fried ice cream for dessert was disappointing, covered with what appeared to be whipped cream from a squirt can. The service was friendly, kind, attentive and prompt. We enjoyed the casual ambience and fun, colorful decor, despite the TVs dominating a couple of the walls.

Loved the jalapeño margarita. Really top notch. I think the food could have been good but my enchiladas were room temperature. Ambiance in the front of the restaurant looked great. In the back where we were seems like a fast food restaurant.

We started with a fresh, natural margarita, which was delightful. Not that sweet syrup that is so fake. Our lunch was excellent ... we did the mix-and-match tacos. They, too, were fresh and delicious. The fresh chips and salsa were terrific, and we were thrilled with the bottomless rice and beans. It was the perfect lunch to end our special trip to Sedona for the day.

This was by far the best Mexican meal we had while visiting Sedona. We decided to have a late lunch during our Main street shopping day. There was no wait when we stopped. The house margaritas were really good. After we ordered the endless chips and salsa. My wife and I decided to split an al pastor cheese crisp (basically an open faced quesadilla) and a surf and turf burrito. Everything was very good. Chips were crisp and salsa fresh and flavorful. The highlight was definitely the al pastor cheese crisp. Cheesy, salty, sweet and spicy it was a flavor bomb of umami. The burrito was good but somewhat pedestrian for a pricey restaurant. Service was very good and the food quality was quite good. My only problem would be that chips and salsa are $6. I think they should be included with a meal.

We enjoyed our dinner at 89Agave. Minimal wait and great options. The fruit guacamole was so unique and a big hit.
