Travelling with a group escorted tour, stayed at this hotel overnight while visiting the Red Rocks of Sedona. We unwound the night in spacious accommodations that combine the comfort of home with the convenience of a full-service hotel.

Our room with a balcony, table and chairs, was nicely located overlooking the heated outdoor pool and a Red Rock mountain in the backdrop. Spacious and warm, enjoyed new Simmons Beauty Red bed, premium in-room entertainment, including flat screen cable TV, complimentary high-speed wireless in the room, complimentary local and toll-free calling, iron and ironing board, hair dryer, coffee maker.

Beautiful and attractive lobby with a fire place, beautiful landscaping and manicured mini-golf course at the back of the hotel.

Room tip: Request a room overlooking the outdoor pool and a Red Rock mountain, or overlooking manicured golf course from your balcony.

Trying to get the final billing rate was a real challenge. I had to ask for it 2x's and then was finally given a print out of a screen shot. They wouldn't even tell me verbally, so strange. Glad I did because I was charged the wrong amount.

We were rather shocked to find out this "resort" was actually a hotel from the 1950's that was given an unfortunate exterior update in the 1980's but needs so much more. Painted over rust and paper-thin walls are not our idea of a resort at this price level.

We stayed in a dog-friendly room that was pretty beat up and not the cleanest. The furniture was chipped, scratched and pretty beat up. The ceiling in the bathroom had a leak so the wallpaper was falling off the wall. The tub was backed up and the wi-fi was basically non-existent.

Forget any modicum of peace and quiet. We could hear everything from the parking lot, to the people next door and the guests upstairs like they were in the room with us.

We were underwhelmed, at best. Won't be staying here again.

This place is a disgrace as a resort. We stayed in a room that was half basement. I thought this was supposed to be star rated resort?!?! There are no real windows in the room only ones below ground.. Horrbile!

Poco Diablo Resort & Spa got it right with Reservations Specialist Diane Rodriquez… I had called to book a getaway for my son and his new bride. I had found the location thru Groupon, after an extensive conversation with Groupon in regards to their link not functioning correctly for this location, I decided to contact the resort directly. I was lucky to have gotten Diane as my point of contact, she was able to get me a comparable rate by locating and applying additional savings thru the resort. She was not only able to empathize with my frustration with Groupon, but maintained contact with me even after my purchase thru emails. Through the emails thanked me for my business and for allowing her the opportunity to assist me, and even after locking in my purchase she contacted me with an Amenity list so, that if I was interested, I would be able to make my son’s stay even more personal.

After about 7 days later I received an email, my sons visit was about 3 days away, advising me that she was able to upgrade his room to the Elite Spa. Now this was great news for many reasons, but the fact that Diane kept my occasion for front on her mind showed me that she not only listened but valued me as a customer on a personal level as well. She took the time to connect with me continuously throughout. I would like to share some of the personal touches Diane exhibited:

“We have to make this memorable and I am happy to do it”.
“I have been in customer service for over 25 years and I love it and love to make memorable times for our guests… “.
“I know as a mother myself it means the world when it comes to our kids and making it special. So we did it together….”.

WOW, just WOW!!!!

My son and his bride were not only excited even more about their stay once I shared what Diane had done, but they stated that there stay was much more enjoyable knowing that such a caring staff was there for them. Poco Diablo Resort & Spa has a lifelong and loyal customer in me, and all due to Diane who made my first experience so amazing that I don’t want to go anywhere else. You are definitely doing something well if you are hiring staff like Diane. Thank you Diane, you made this customer/momma feel appreciated and valued with your kindness.

We visited in January, 2017 and there were not many guests; however, we still experienced all the amenities. The heated pool and hot tub were in good order and great to use in cool January weather. The restaurant food and service were very good! The rooms are spacious and clean; bed was comfortable. The grounds were well kept and views were enjoyable. Nicely located and well worth the price!

Room tip: Room 207 offered a great view of the lawn and fountain with hills in the background.
