The German Cafe was recommended by a local friend. The food did not disappoint. We enjoyed the German meatball, chicken cordon bleu, Wiener schnitzel, potato pancakes, potato salad and coleslaw. All were delicious. No beer or wine which would have made it complete. Definitely worth the visit. Enjoy!

Love this place! It is so authentic and all their dishes are amazing. Just moved back to the area and found they moved locations and are now on Fry Boulevard. Definitely a must eat at if you live German food. Plus they gave a dedicated baker now too for an amazing selection of desserts!

When you are looking for the best German Food you need to visit the German Cafe on Fry Blvd. The menu is excellent and you can always find a good schnitzel choice. The new location is even bigger than the previous one so stop by for lunch or dinner.

So, if you would like to have a piece of bread while you are waiting an extended amount of time for your meal, there is a charge for bread and butter! Did you want bread with your meal? Doesn't come with it, there is a charge for bread.
For a place that is supposed to be the #1 restaurant, some of their food has NO flavor. The spaetzle is dry and flavorless. Which is sad for a German restaurant.
Now, if you have room after your meal for dessert, this almost makes up for dullness of the entrees. The German Chocolate Cake is Oh. My. Goodness!! Rich, decadent. Get it! Something else unusual - order coffee and want cream? It's evaporated milk. I've had that - when I'm camping. Just odd.

The Cafe is in their new location, a bit larger than their last one, and it remains a true keeper. If the portions had been smaller, we would have finished every bite. But we enjoyed as much as we could and had enough for dinner the next night. Everything was delicious, service was prompt even with the packed house, our waiter provided terrific service and was very personable. I wouldn’t hesitate for a nanosecond to return. They are waiting for their liquor license but don’ let that stop you.
