Though we've been to Costa Rica before, this was our first time staying in Dominicalito. We also typically rent a house for privacy so we were a little hesitant to potentially be in close proximity to two other couples. Well, we had a fantastic time! Ben and Nate were wonderful hosts helping us with everything from the rental car to restaurant recommendations and reservations. Though there were other couples there, everyone was very respectful. The cabinas are very functional and comfortable, though I may have left a dent in the chair cushion because I sat in it a lot just soaking up the view. We enjoyed the optional breakfasts several mornings which were delicious and it was interesting to talk with the other guests. We miss our dog when we're traveling so we really enjoyed Ginger, Barney, and Freckles. The location of this property is perfect. It's not too far from the main road, has an AMAZING sunset view, and has a path around the property where you can see all kinds of wildlife. Highly recommended!

We stayed in Cabina Amor, a beautiful and secluded cabina with a wonderful view of the jungle and distant view of the ocean. The king bedded cabina offered ample space for a couple and was very comfortably appointed, as long as you don't mind not having air conditioning. The outdoor kitchenette was a bonus. There are a couple nice comfortable chairs and a hammock on the patio with the same jungle and ocean views.

The walking path through the grounds offers a nice walk where you may see tropical birds, the sloth who lives on the property, many butterflies and much more flora and fauna.

There is also a lovely little shared swimming pool with to help you cool down and enjoy the sunset views.

Nate and Ben, the owners and hosts, are really hospitable and fun to talk to. We did not take advantage of one of Chef Ben's dinners but we did enjoy breakfast on both mornings and it was worth the small cost.

The location of Tree of Life, 2km up a steep and bumpy dirt road, is off the beaten path but easily accessible by 4x4. It is also close to shops, restaurants, beaches and activities in Dominical, Uvita and more.

Thank you Nate & Ben for sharing your piece of paradise with us.

Room Tip: Cabina Amor is farthest away from the main house and other cabinas.

My girlfriend and I had the absolute pleasure of being hosted by Ben and Nate at the Tree of Life Cabinas for two nights. Everything you read about this place is true and some! Ben and Nate have carved out the most beautiful way of life in CR, you'll leave envious and planning your future Costa Rican property purchase.

The inclusion of "Anyone's Paradise" in the title is indicative of our belief that this is the ideal location for any kind of traveler. Families, couples, solo adventurers, etc.. there is a little something for everyone. The location allows you to choose from the vacation you want to take. Beaches, hikes, bars, shops are all within very reasonable distances.

Take a look at my pictures for more about what the grounds looked like. But just know that choosing the tree of life cabinas will be the best decision you make for your Costa Rican adventure.

Tree of Life Cabinas was the perfect spot for the last night of our honeymoon in Costa Rica. Our cabins was clean and tidy and had absolutely everything we needed including a lovely hammock with a great view of the sunset. In fact, we were planning to go out for cocktails to watch the sunset but decided to watch from our cabina veranda instead as the view was great and the kitchen complete.
Ben and Nate were gracious hosts, funny and down to earth, and cared about the right things- guests’ comfort, great food, and their animals. Be sure to stay for breakfast to enjoy the lovely food and conversation. They served bacon and eggs with banana pancakes and even had real maple syrup from Quebec.
The three rescue dogs and cat were amazing and sweet and mostly stayed close to the main house. Ginger the dog is so loving and soft, she is reason enough to visit!
We will definitely return!

You'll need a 4wd, but its worth the short drive to find this paradise in the jungle. Its high enough above the beach to not get blisteringly hot, is surrounded by a beautifully maintained garden and the jungle. The pool is amazing, the view is amazing, and so are the hosts. What can be said about Ben and Nate that hasn't already been said? Perfect hosts. We will be back for sure!
