OMG, words cannot describe our wonderful stay at the Drake Bay Greenleaf. We are experienced travels (this is our seventh year in Costa Rica) and our 3-night stay at this hidden gem was one of the most enjoyable and memorable times we’ve ever had. This is truly your private paradise as there are only 4 villas, all with stunning views of the ocean and wildlife. Costa Rica is known for its friendly people but the proprietors, Hellen and Steve, take this to a new level as we (and the other guests) were treated with a level of kindness and care that is rare to find. The food was definitely five-star caliber and made of our specific dietary needs. They literally took care of everything including tours, ferries, snacks for tours and Stephen even drove us into town whenever we wanted. Needless to say we are already planning a return visit.

Hellen and Steve are the most gracious, kind, generous, loving hosts (owners) you could ever ask for! The location of Greenleaf is absolutely gorgeous and the accommodations are top-notch. The chef is superb and we ate meals which would typically be in a 5-star hotel/restaurant in the U.S. We wanted for nothing, as the villas are beautiful and spacious, and the owners do everything they can to go above and beyond. The excursions were wonderful and also exceeded expectations. We will definitely go back!

This place has only ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ reviews and I doubt it in their authenticity, I should not, they are truthful. Place is beautiful, quiet and peaceful. Customer service is top notch, I would like to mention the owners of this place are Hellen and Steve, very warm welcoming couple, I felt like home. Food, I can talk a lot about it… I stayed at many places, and “ GreenLeaf” hotel THE BEST fine restaurant I’ve had so far, yes, fine restaurant. They’re located 5 min., away from the beach, but you can see it from the hotel, no need in taxi, Steve will drive you for no charge to the beach and if you scheduled some activities it’s not a problem either, breakfast will be ready before you go even if it’s 5 A.M. plus Hellen will pack a snacks with you if it’s a long day activity. And more importantly if you book directly from Hellen, you will get a better price guaranteed. We were so lucky to see on this trip a Humpback whale mama with a baby, turtles, dolphins, sharks even crocodiles,ocean is very warm, but you have to be careful sun is strong there, I got burned. Oh, and they have a wild capuchin monkey, Hellen named her Bella only she comes ones in a while there, beside our bungalow #1 , always would come after 3-4 P.M. three Fiery-billed Aracari toucans that you won’t see them often in Costa Rica, they became quick my favourite. And one more thing, the place is Very clean! I am writing this review and have withdrawals about this place, the place left big pleasant effect in my heart. Thank you Hellen and Steve with your welcoming, my staying was more unforgettable.
