Sometimes a place gets everything just right. The right location, the right staff, the right architecture, the right gardening, the right dining experience, even the right mattresses for the best night sleep! This is one such place. My wife and I have traveled a great deal around the world and this is by far one of the best places we’ve ever been. There are too many reasons to list why this is so. But, suffice it to say, everything here is incredible. The rooms are beautiful, the grounds are spectacularly lush and beautiful, every detail has been considered and properly attended to. The food is five star. The service is five star. Literally everything about this place is five star. I can’t wait to come back. Special shout out to the genius chefs, plus two of the sweetest and most attentive men ever: Asdrubal and Rudi, as well as Rebecca, Miguel, and Albert. Brad, the owner, is the most competent owner and, as you’ll see, he is the designer of perfection. If you come here you’ll ask, how in the world did he do it?

Thank you for all the wonderful comments you gave us Adam & Arianne, it really means a lot to me, also to the staff I will pass on comments they will very much appreciate knowing there doing a great job especially coming from such well-traveled clients. Interesting that you had mentioned to me that you have sleeping issues and here you can sleep so well at Aguila it is all from the sounds of nature. Like you said all those strange put soothing sounds of waves rolling to shore, and all the interesting resonance sounds of rainforest is why you can sleep so well here Adam This is also why we do not have air-conditioning here at the hotel. Aguila’s design with the tropics in mind makes for sleeping in the rainforest totally relaxing. To you both we thank you for stopping by and we are looking forward to your return trip to Aguila till then take care stay safe.

Beautiful location with one-of-a-kind experiences. Imagine a water transport, greetings at the dock by the friendliest staff and the loveliest grounds. Clean, rustic accommodations with chef-cooked meals three times a day. Nothing beats the views from the Great Lodge and the tours by in-house staff are amazing and include all the extras so you don't have to lug them with you-towels, water, snacks.
This is not just a place to stay but an experience you will remember forever. Bring your friends and family as you will not be able to describe this gem adequately when you get home.

My wife and I spent five nights here - our first outing in a longggg time. We had to cancel our trip here due to Covid over a year ago and the management allowed a credit despite the long time between original booking dates and actual stay.
The rooms/suites are beautiful and allow maximum privacy despite proximity to other suites.
The staff were attentive to our every need. The food and beverage selection all top notch.
Quique, the dive master, was the most helpful dive master I’ve ever encountered.
Brad, the owner, is truly amicable/friendly and interesting. The effort he has taken to ensure a most memorable experience is clear.

Absolutely delicious food - totally unexpected, best food in Costa Rica!
Staff were fantastic, very friendly and helpful.
Amazing wildlife on Sirena and San Padrillo tours.
Make sure you set up any tours you want to do before you arrive - I missed out on one I wanted to do because tickets were not available which was very disappointing.
Be prepared for bugs galore...inside and outside your room!

Belinda thank you for your review on TripAdvisor my name is Bradd owner of Aguila. I’m sorry we did not meet I want to say thanks for stopping by we know you have choices so thank for picking Aguila and for the nice comments you gave us is much appreciated.

Talking with Rebecca and Cristina about your situation about you not getting on one of the tours they mention you wanted to go back to Sirena. Rebeca and Cristina told me they tried everyone and were not able to find a ticket as tickets are limited. In your comment you mention it’s better to book tours before you come is right, we have a better chance of accommodating our guest.

I have to say we were all surprised to hear your comments on there so many bugs. When I mention this to Rebeca and Cristine they knew nothing of this. As owner I would very much appreciate it you could write us directly and let us know in what way you had an issue with the bugs. I very rarely get this issue we live in a Rainforest I can say sometimes there are ants but that really doesn’t happen much at all. As you know we have an open restaurant with little issues mostly from monkey’s trying to get in the kitchen or birds flying through. Or the occasional will a have praying Mantis, big Beetles Stick Bugs Earwigs different big grasshopper’s things like this but make for interesting photos and conversation topics.

We apologize for any incontinence and again thanks for stopping by Belinda. The Staff

We recently returned from our first trip to Costa Rica and couldn't have enjoyed ourselves more! We enjoyed every bit of our time in this beautiful country, but our stay at Aguila De Osa will stay forever in our hearts as a very special place. It was so worth getting to! We chose to access the property by boat. And from the minute we stepped foot onto the grounds of this eco lodge, we were treated with amazing service, and so much warmth! The people we met who make up the team at Aguila de Osa, from Bradd the owner, to Rebecca, Albert, Rudy, Jimmy at the dock, Jose the chef--I could go on and on, were exceptional in every way. Our room overlooked the jungle where we were able to watch Macaws, lizards, toucans, hummingbirds, other exotics right from our hammock on the terrace. The room was very comfortable, the food was the best we had while in Costa Rica. I mean really delicious! In addition to Jose the chef, they have a baker on the premises. The resort arranged for a short boat trip to the National Park where we saw all four species of monkeys, tapir, ant eaters, coati, such a variety of bird life. We also enjoyed a great night tour right off the grounds of the lodge where we were able to see red-eyed tree frogs and all kinds of critters that crawl in the night. And the quiet pristine Cocolito beach was a pleasant 20 minute walk from the lodge. We can't say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay, and we really hope to return one day. Even more than the amazing wildlife, the people we met at the resort made it even more special. Highly recommend!
