My wife and I spent 3 nights here and a bonus was that right there in Window Rock almost right across the street they swore in a new President of the Navajo Nation. The hotel was clean and the staff was very pleasant. From here we were able to go to Canyon de Chelly in Chinle, AZ which is about 1 to 1-1/2 hour trip that is full of great picture taking. There is much to see in Window Rock itself from the actual "Window Rock" to markets and monument to the Code talkers. We will be going back because 3 days were not enough to see and enjoy everything. Good place to bring your family. Actual visit was 5/15.

Room Tip: All rooms are good. We had a 1st floor room and never heard the people upstairs or on either side of us.

I stayed here one night while on the road for a photo trip. Window Rock is a small town with limited lodging, so I wasn't sure what to expect. As it turned out the Quality Inn was a very pleasant property. The room was very clean and furnished like most hotels. Wifi was solid, bed was comfortable, and overall I was happy here. Desk staff was very friendly and helpful. I didn't have the breakfast or at the attached restaurant, which appeared to be very popular, judging from the parking lot. It being December, there were relatively few guests, but still it was very quiet. If I have the occasion to pass through Window Rock again, I'd gladly stay here.

We decided to take the 16 mile detour to check out this area and are very glad we did. The hotel is staffed with genuinely friendly folks who proudly strive to make your stay as enjoyable as possible. The room was very clean, shower felt great, the bed was firm, and heat was great on a cold night. It included a refrigerator with real freezer and a microwave. If you require granite to feel at home, this is not the place for you. However, if you can live with nice formica, a heater that is a bit loud, and well kept furnishings, you will be very glad you came. The employees, as well as the local patrons of the restaurant, were all very friendly and open to questions about the area.

We arrived just as the restaurant was closing but were served with a smile none the less. I had the vegetarian Navajo Burrito served in traditional fry bread smothered with green chile, my husband had the roast beef sandwich (very tender) on fry bread. Delicious! For the free breakfast we were given a choice of meals in the restaurant. Very nice to have freshly prepared food rather than the usual hotel fare.

After breakfast we explored the Navajo Nation museum next door and spent much more time there than expected. The five sections include a wonderful art collection, artefacts of the Navajo life, and a moving history of the relocation of the Navajo, their stubborn and costly refusal to accept the new land, and the return to their homeland. There is no charge, but a donation box is located near the guest book. We then went to Window Rock, just outside of town where they have also established a monument to the WWII Navajo Code Talkers. I was glad we went to the museum first so that I was aware of the significance of this rock formation to the Navajo Nation. We stopped in the gift shop located next to the hotel before leaving town and were back on I-40 again by noon.

This was a quick side trip that we felt gave us a much greater understanding of of a deservedly proud Nation.

Since there are not a lot of dog friendly places we choose this hotel. The room is a little dated and used but clean. Bathroom is small and also dated. The beds were not very comfortable. For the quality it's a little too expensive. The restaurant in the hotel is very convenient however also expensive. I probably would look for something nicer for the price.
