We had the BEST time camping here. Only campers under 24 ft are recommended to travel up the mountain. The kids loved our camping spot, right next to the playground. The rim trail is absolutely beautiful. Such wonderful staff, very helpful. The boys really loved the bench trail, biking it. Beautiful sunsets, gorgeous scenery.

Have visited here several times. Always see something different. This is a beautiful State Park with spectacular views of the valley below. It offers a public swimming pool and cabin rentals. There are picnic areas and hiking trails. There is a gift shop with a wonderful view. Unlike several of the other State Parks in the area, there is no restaurant.

Mt. Nebo is a wonderful place to watch both the sunrise and sunset. There are several trails, our favorite being the Rim Trail. You can camp at the campground or rent a cabin. For a challenge, you can walk the road UP the mountain. Visit Mt. Nebo, learn its history, take in the amazing views of the river valley, swim in the pool, hike a trail, but most of all just enjoy some time outdoors at one of the beautiful Arkansas State Parks.

I was there for a trail race/run. The trail was in great shape. With the leaves off there are some views! The Bench Trail is a moderate trail with good footing and no precarious areas. The rim trail is a more challenging hiking trail with stunning views, but at 57 I would not run it.

I want to post this mostly because I was unable to get advance information about the cabins. The website was vague about the amenities and I packed stuff I didn't need and left stuff behind I needed.
We stayed in cabin 64 and our friends were in cabin 65.
They deliver a bundle of firewood with a wax starter daily.
The cabin had bath products and a hair dryer and fresh towels daily as well as a new trash bag and a roll of toilet paper. The kitchen has everything you need but most of the stuff is old. If you need a nonstick skillet you better bring it from home. They provide coffee, coffee pot, filters, blender, toaster, dish soap, all the utinsels. Here is what you need besides food and drink:

Paper towels.
Wine glasses.
Ice (two trays provided)
Foil, ziplock bags, Tupperware
Umbrella
Lighter stick
Cushions for metal outdoor chairs

The cabin was incredibly comfy, the trails were awesome, the staff was friendly. I will return!
