Everyone we met was very friendly and laid back. The property was very relaxing to walk about and the swimming hole and hot tub were original and fun in their own right. We did not get to see very many animals in our travels in Ireland but at the rock slane farm we saw everything from pheasants in the fields to piglets. The sounds of birds chirping to wake you up was very welcomed compared to other citys where we often were woke to car alarms or delivery trucks.

Room tip: The shepherds trailer was the most comfortable bed we experienced while in Ireland.

I thorally enjoyed staying at rock farm, it is lovely and peaceful. Set in the grounds of castle Slane. BBQ meat pack is extremely tasty. So much to see and do in the area. I recommend staying for at least a week

Shepard Hut was lovely, very clean and felt like you were in the middle of nowhere, very peaceful. They probably shouldn't charge as much because in fairness you are in a hut with no electricity/toilet (unless you go to the communal area) and it cost the same as a hotel room!

Room tip: get one of the huts if you can, yurts are fine but hut is much more homely!

A huge, beautiful, eco mansion! Had everything in one place and felt like we were a million miles away. So well equipped for groups but still luxury.
We hit lucky with the weather and could well have been in a château in France.
Very safe with security gate at entrance etc and there is always people floating around if u need anything as it is a working eco farm.
