The smell, the food , the service.
The smell is horrendous.
The food was bland and cold.
The waitress was clueless and the glasses were dirty as was the table.
Housekeeping obviously dont have standards.

OMG. is all I can say. Went on golfing trip with 14 guys and partners. Stayed in Treacys hotel. The min u walk in the door your welcomed with this fusty smell.. Reception is so unfriendly. Rooms were filthy, carpet looked as if their was a farmers mucky wellie convention on before we arrived. The amount of flys on the walls, cobwebs, dust.etc got a drink at the bar at one stage there was a fly having a sip out of my G and T. All in all Wont be ever going back.

Myself and my fiance wanted a weekend break but not too far from Dublin - we went into lidl breaks and booked this hotel for 2 nights. My bf called the hotel and asked if an upgrade was available as we are recently engaged - we were upgraded to the bridal suite at no extra charge. The room was fab!! Very spacious and perfect for a bride and groom Erin was on reception when we arrived and she was so friendly and welcoming - she's an asset to the hotel. We went to the bar for a few drinks where we met Tommy - another asset - very friendly and good craic. We had lunch here - food was fab! - we went to carrickmacross the next day but can back to our hotel for dinner and we were not disappointed. Overall we had a great stay and as it's close enough we will definitely be back.
