The hotel are located in a very private and confortable spot which makes you relax and forget the day to day life.
I was travelling on tour, and I had a GREAT time at this hotel,, which offers very good services, restaurants, sports area and very friendly enviroment.
There is artwork all over the place, which makes the art lovers also have a good time.
Definitely would reccomend Double Tree Hotel!

What a superb, relaxed break. The hotel staff went out of their way to make our stay welcoming and very enjoyable. My friend and I chose this mini break with the sole purpose of relaxing, sunbathing and sunshine - it certainly delivered!

My friend and I booked a twin room with sea views, half board for 3 nights. When we arrived at midday Javier was very welcoming and suggested we use one of the hotel pools as our room was not ready. We decided to try the sports club pool which had lots of beds free (15 available for hotel guests) and enjoyed a relaxing afternoon and excellent food at the café there. Towels readily available at hotel.

On check in, we were delighted to discover we had been appointed a lovely spacious room on the Hilton Honours floor(room 343), with great views over to Fuengirola and a sunny balcony overlooking the tennis courts.

One of the highlights of our stay at the hotel was the food! The tasting menu at the mexican fusion restaurant was delicious as was the Japanese food at the infinity pool restaurant (both of these restaurants needed booking ahead). The buffet breakfast was fresh and varied each day. We ate at the buffet one night which was good and chose freshly cooked salmon and salads.

The Infinity pool was amazing. We used this every afternoon during our stay booking ahead the day before. 25 euros for a bed (to share) and received cava and fresh fruit complimentary. You can also choose if you want a bed with shade or open. Its definitely worth it for the views and stylish setting. Mauro and his team were great and really looked after us during our stay. The chicken wraps were delicious too.

Friendly Staff, facilities, room spec, local Cavajal beach (quiet and very nice sand, local supermarket and a few beach restaurants/cafes). Nice to run to in the mornings before breakfast or a walk/quiet drink after dinner.

Negatives: As has been noted, there are building works in the Higueron area. We were not greatly affected by these but the drive up to the hotel is a bit ugly with lots of unfinished appartments being built. We were aware of the works before we went and the staff were very good at ensuring our stay was not affected. Our balcony views were not greatly affected and the works were quiet and not too intrusive. Have given 4 stars not 5 due to the works. if complete I think it would be a 5 star review.

The hill is very steep from the station. We are fit, so it was walkable with a bit of effort! But we did use the complimentary landtrain which was fantastic and ran to an efficient timetable. If we missed it, a taxi from beach was 4 euros and available from the main road to hail from the road.

The main hotel outdoor pool by the restaurant was quite busy and small for a hotel of the size. We didn't actually use it as we preferred the look of the sports bar which had more sunbeds. However we had booked knowing there was the infinity pool and beach nearby so this didn't really matter to us.

Other points:
fuengirola town is accessible by train (about 10 mins ride) but we got a taxi (15 euro) and there are lots of bars etc there and souvenier shops. The hotel recommended Lola's bar which was very good and had a live band. A bit more upmarket than some of the local nightclubs etc. We were not there for a 'party holiday' but I think if you wanted that you would find suitable clubs/bars in Fuengirola.

Taxi to airport is 35 euro from (hotel fixed price.)

After check out we were able to use the facilities all day on our last day and the sports showers/changing area was excellent.

Overall, a very pleasant stay. Thank you!

Room tip: Rooms overlooking the tennis courts offer the best views and sunny balconies. Higher up the hotel floors 3/4 is better for views.

Let’s start with the bad. Just me and my teenage daughter and we paid £1700 for this holiday. Middle of nowhere on a very steep hill. Terrible lay out you had to get 3 lifts just to get to the pool and restaurant. What they forget to tell you is it faces onto a massive construction site that some days was busy and very noisy from 7am up to 7pm at night. The nose was terrible. Walk to the beach was ok downhill but coming back up you’d need a taxi as the hill is VERY steep.Taxi back was €5 for a mile so not cheap!! Hotel was lovely but more of a business hotel. No atmosphere and genuinely not a holiday hotel and most of the staff were rude. Cristian at the pool restaurant needs to get another job as hospitality is not his best point. They need to make the outside restaurant and pool area smoke free. Was disgusting trying to eat or sunbathe whilst ignorant smokers sat next to you. Even cigarette ends round the pool area. The grass sunbed area was terrible. Not the best place as it was on a slope so some sun beds you had to hang on for dear life. Breakfast was nice but evening meal was terrible. And we saw it was laid out around 3 hours before it was served. Rooms ok but need lick of paint and there were dirty marks all over the hotel walls.. and stuff like grout was all black and missing in the bathrooms. Railing on our balcony was all broken. Pool was really cold and all the glass surrounding the pool and restaurant was filthy. Gross. They also forget to tell you the family pool in the club next door you can’t use. They have 12 beds spare for the Hilton and every time we asked they were always booked up even though they were empty! Infinity pool was €40 per day. What a joke. So the hotel really only has one small pool when they advertise 3. Small bottles of water or sprite €2.50 another joke!! If you wanted to eat the evening buffet if you didn’t have evening meal included in your holiday it was €24 per person!!! What!! Never once saw them jet wash or clean the area around the pool. It was filthy. Yet the club pool next door was cleaned daily.
We had a sea view but that was only possible if you looked to the left because directly in front of the hotel view was the construction site.
Think that’s the bad points!
Good points. Breakfast buffet was nice. Only 15 mins transfer from airport (maybe why a lot of airline staff stayed there). Beach was lovely. €5 each for a bed. The strip was really quiet with not much going on unless you walked a mile the other way.
I wouldn’t recommend this hotel for a holiday. There’s nothing to do around the hotel like go sightseeing or even for a walk as all around the area is construction site after construction site. Pick somewhere else as it’s Terrible

all front desk staff were extremely gracious and accommodating of all our request. we checked in with Belen who was especially kind, allowing us to check in early since we came in the morning exhausted from a night flight. the grounds are beautiful. we were surprised by one staff member on roof top bar who asked us to pay to use the sun beds (that's not mentioned anywhere when booking so perhaps remove the fee and allow guests to enjoy it. many of the beds are empty anyways and it just puts a damper when hotel staff ask a guest to pay for something that's an integral part of the hotel they are paying to stay at). Additionally, fitness classes cost between 7-15 euro. the fitness room is complementary. breakfast was great. more fresh, whole (uncut) fruit options would definitely enhance. the construction in the area did detract from the scenery and peace so as long as it ends soon, guests would surely have a good time. most importantly though, is to mention on your booking site and all booking sites that offer this hotel that the hotel is situated in a hilly area and arriving there by car can be intimidating for guests who are unaccustomed to driving in both narrow and hilly roads. the first time was quite frightening. additionally, i discovered that google maps, waze etc. direct drivers to arrive from the longer and steeper direction of the hotel. guests should arrive from the TOP OF THE STREET, IMMEDIATELY TO THE LEFT OF SHELL GAS STATION. there is a large sign with hotel name before descending down the hill. it is the shorter and safer route. when leaving the hotel, ALWAYS MAKE A LEFT- back up the hill towards the gas station. had i known that in advance, it would have spared me a lot of nerves.
all in all, fantastic place.

Excellent position to move around the beautiful Costa del Sol. Modern design in a very clean and comfortable hotel. Amazing spa. Nice and cool restaurants and bars. Beautiful hotel. You need a car in order to be autonomous. Recommended.
