We had a signature room pity stopped complimentary wine
Room refurbished really well set out for disabled mum. Food varied but too much on a plate as all food served in the evening by waiter.. Unfortunately some elderly just refuse a plate if it is piled up this happened with the elderly ones. Asked for smaller portions and this didn’t happen until last night when said please remove massive Yorkshire, veg etc.
Unfortunately the breakfast coffee and tea served in a jug was awful so we kept to juice. Ask for pot of tea will probably be fresher. Breakfast was varied and really good. Noticed evening meals never offered a salad which was a pity perhaps next year things may change. My niece fell over on in even step and sprained her ankle. My uncle and mum in their 80s and 90s fell over too. Just be careful of steps should really be a few more ramps. Hard to find in restaurant so really difficult for them. Request sitting on food buffet level for people with mobility issues, Lovely grounds and history to explore. I believe and saw a few mobility people struggled around the place so I would recommend for the more able people unless you can get nearer reception or lift.
Some of the carpet and furniture needs updating as getting a bit worn compared to other places.
I enjoyed my stay but would not go back it was a struggle for my mum with mobility issues. Littlecote is well worth a visit though
Ps checking out and in really easy without having to line up

We have just returned from a 4 day break at Littlecote a beautiful historic building. Our Signature room had everything we could wish for and was immaculate. The meals were superb and our waiter Cristian was very warm and friendly as were all the staff that we came into contact with.

The entertainment was mixed. The resident band Sahara Blue we thought were mediocre but the comedy /music act Ian Larkin was very good as was the entertainment team paying tribute to the Musicals. A very enjoable way to end our last night at Littecote.

Room tip: recommend Signature Room

We were quite disappointed with this Warner’s, ok the gardens are lovely but the staff especially the bar staff were so miserable and you had to wait quite a while to get served because they were too busy talking to each other or looking on there phones and I know masks are not compulsory any more but they were forever lifting them up and down. There was however one nice young lady who served us on our last day called franny who was full of fun and smiled at us. Also the nice woman and man on the dining room reception who always greeted us with a smile. It does make a big difference to our holiday when people are warm and friendly especially in these COVID times. The food was the best I have ever tasted at any Warner’s and many hotels we have stayed in, absolutely delicious and well presented, thank you

Room tip: Signature rooms are better

This weekend was booked as a 60th birthday gift for me by my lovely husband.

We had stayed at Littlecote before so had some idea of what to expect.

We stayed in The Jane Seymour Suite. A beautiful room with all the usual items we have come to expect from Warners.

There were of course some changes due to Covid, such as checking in on the drive and altered arrangements for the buffet meals. There were hand sanitising stations everywhere which were always full. The staff wore masks all the time so we felt safe on that score.

We had an afternoon tea booked for the Saturday which was served on time and was totally delicious. Having read various different reviews about the food I did wonder but all the meals were plentiful and delicious with a good variety to choose from. Gregor, our waiter, was efficient, friendly helpful.

We saw some old faces amongst the staff from our previous stays, so I hope this means Warners are as good for the staff as they are for the guests.

The evening entertainment is always good but the performers brought in for the Soul and Motown weekend were outstanding.

All the staff, as always, were excellent. A big thank you to everyone who works at Littlecote including gardeners, cleaners, kitchen staff, admin and anyone I have missed, you are all vital to the smooth running of the place. We really didn't want to come home.

One tiny weeny grumble though, could we have our own teapots at breakfast again. Not sure what was in the pots but it really wasn't tea.

Thank you again for a wonderful stay. We will be back.

This worked really well for both of our age groups and we enjoyed everything from the excellent food, the fabulous grounds and walks and the entertainment. We had a signature room and enjoyed the goodies, drinks and fresh milk every day, we found having a fridge particularly useful. We made good use of the excellent spa, having indulged in some relaxing treatments. The pool also boasted a steam room and a sauna. Our tour of the Grade 1 listed Tudor mansion was very interesting with a wealth of history to its name and the Roman villa down by the River Kennet with the amazing Roman mosaic with a protective roof installed by Warners was fantastic. There are tennis courts, a bowling green, rifle shooting and archery to keep you occupied. The bar manager Thea was lovely and welcoming and always stopped for a chat during happy hour. The last night of entertainment was fantastic featuring five members of staff, 3 ladies and 2 gents performing as Bohemian Rock with excellent choreography and fantastic voices and a good selection of Queen's popular hits. We will definitely go again.

Room tip: Most rooms have good views, patio rooms have french window onto the gardens and a table and chairs to relax.
