A friend had recommended this place to me a few years ago and finally I made it and was not disappointed. It's simply a little bit of heaven. If your preference is for manicured gardens then perhaps this isn't for you. The place has an unspoiled semi-tamed wildness if that make sense. Very peaceful and calming with lots of benches and shady places to sit and take in the views. Sadly didn't seen any kingfishers but spoke with a lady who had just seen one from the hide. Visited the tea rooms for a cuppa and a bit of cake - all perfectly fine and not unreasonably prices. There is plenty of parking and toilets by the tea room. A blissful way to spend a couple of hours.

The Water Gardens used to be immaculate and beautifully maintained. My most recent visit on 24/6/18 was very disappointing. I'm not sure if it's a conscious choice to let nature take over or whether something has changed and the owners can't keep up with the maintenance now but the experience was lacking. Overgrown weeds everywhere. The beautiful waters edge views are all but gone, shrouded in weeds and undergrowth and despite it being one of the best summer days of the year, the magic of the place had gone. At £6.75 a head to get in, I would have expected to see much better maintenance of the gardens.

Visited with Grandma, us and 9 week old in a pram.
Lovely weather, which always helps, but lovely location and gardens, was £6 entry.
Saw 2 kingfishers from the hide (only recommendation would be to have binoculars in the hide, or bring some with you!)
Saw pike, swans and lovely flowers and trees

Easy access for the pram, but was bone dry.

Went to cafe on site, lovely drinks, scones, sausage rolls and cake (I recommend the toffee cake!), But the sandwiches looked a bit pre-packed in the fridge so we didn't bother

All in all would definitely recommend

We visited on a sunny day and it was lovely to walk around the place. Although you could walk around in an hour, it was nice to stop and look at the plants and look at the wildlife. We were luvky enough to catch a glimpse if a blue flash of a kingfisher from the hide. The cafe serves homemade cakes and savoury items and is lovely. A proper chill out in The Norfolk countryside

We visited on a gloriously sunny day. The gardens were absolutely beautiful. Although not large there is plenty to see and many places to sit and just enjoy the lovely views. We were lucky enough to see a pair of kingfishers from the bird hide and also a large pike sunning itself in one of the ponds. The paths are well laid out (some places were uneven) but nevertheless we had no problem pushing the pram around. We visited the café and enjoyed a drink and delicious homemade cake. Altogether a thoroughly enjoyable afternoon.
