Loved it, typical highland get away and the drive was excellent. Beautiful beech front location and a great wee highland jigg on the Saturday night. Well worth the journey.
We stayed in the room that had a 4 poster bed with views out to the waterfront. Spotless although a little bit tired in places. Breakfast was sufficient and we both a had a lovely dinner each night too.

The hotel is in an imposing old building with a commanding view over the loch.
We had a standard double room that was small but comfortable, with loch view and bathtub.
Staff were excellent.
Car parking on site.
Excellent value for money at the price we paid.
The only thing that was a little disappointing for us was the breakfast - a little imagination could really improve it and the room where it is served lacks the character you might expect in a building of this style.
Even so, we are glad we stayed here and recommend it to others.

We stayed with an Itison deal, which consisted of dinner, bed and breakfast. The check in was straightforward and we booked for dinner. The dining room was uncomfortably cold and the background music choice was inappropriate for the cross section of guests dining. The food was pretty average, but we understood it would be a limited menu as it was part of the deal. Our room was OK but as with a lot of reviews, it could do with modernisation. Breakfast again was pretty average. We are glad we didn't pay anymore for our stay than we did.

Thank you for your comments regarding your recent stay at the Gairloch Hotel, I am sorry your expectations at the Gairloch were not met on this occasion. The hotel is at present having some refurbishment work done, However I am surprised by your comments, the hotel regularly gets good reviews on the warmth and friendliness of the building even though it is only two star which many guests returning time after time. Thank you again for your comments

The hotel is a large old building but a bit rundown and tired, although our room was very good. Room was spacious with great sea views and much better than the rest of the building. Food was ok and served quickly but dining room was cold and not attractive, staff were very good but bar only had Becks lager on draught. As we got this on a DB&B deal it was well worth it not sure I would have been happy to pay full rate.

A beautiful building in a beautiful location, but the decor is a little dated and in need of some TLC. However given the price I was thrilled. The staff were incredibly kind and helpful and the food was delicious. Wifi only in the lounge area (but which is very comfortable).

Room tip: room 107 has wifi in the room as it is above the reception!
