Warning - Ullapool is busy and fully booked - try to book early. Best to stay in a place with food onsite if possible as most restaurants are fully booked.
The Ferry Boat is small and they were sitting up for an Open Mic Night when we arrived. The beer, food and service was fine but the prices are steep for what you get.

Lively pub, helpful staff, lovely views, good beer, but.... fish and chips were nice but at £14 considered 'not cheap'...and a menu displaying (e.g.) £14.00 as '14' considered as pretentious. No comment on accommodation as did not stay.

Great choice in Ullapool. I was kind of scared to go, due to some bad reviews I read, but I was gladly surprised. We booked a room right above the pub and it wasn't noisy at all, as some peple say around here. Food was great, cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. The room had wonderful views over the lake. Will definitely to go back

Called in for a pint, 2pm 09/05/2017 - (1) I don't like being referred to by young lad behind the bar as "Chief" (2) When being handed my change, I expect the barman to at least look at me (possibly even say thank you ?), rather than to hold out his hand vaguely in my direction, as he maintains eye contact and conversation with his friend on the other side of the bar ....... - Have now moved on down the road to The Seaforth - much improved, acceptable service.

Lovely warm welcome . We had a loch view room, very nicely decorated and a lovely comfortable bed. Very good food served in the restaurant, both dinner and breakfast. Busy bar with music most evenings. We were there on a Monday when there was a folk evening in the sister Argyll Hotel.

Room Tip: Loch view room 4
