An amazing experience. Definitely a highlight of my life. This is only dampened by the number of people hassling you to buy their product/services.

Thank Christian T

One of the Seven Wonders of the World and I understand why. What an amazing place. Take your time here. Stay away from the vendors as they are a hassle. I would hire a guide for the day. It’s worth it.

My first impression of Petra: it was beautiful and huge. It was a heaven for photographer, you might want to stop couple times to take some good pictures of the stone structures.

Some annoying things about Petra:
The cleaning service men bothering me by asking for money knowing I’m from Indonesia. They kind of chased me but I walked away.

Some tips for Petra:
Bring some mask or anything that can be used to cover your mouth and nose. Petra is dusty and reek of horse poo. Every time the wind blows, dust and sand fly every where. Wearing sunglasses is a must.

Petra is one of those mythical places that everyone says you have to visit if you get the chance. It's true. Being here opens the imagination into what daily life for the Nabetaeans must have looked like.

The complexity of the city design helps dispel the myth of primitive people and our own "enlightened" social structures in the 21st Century. As a concert the people who lived here were complex, and every bit as socially advanced as we are today.

There is too much to take in in just one day, I was really pleased we had a two day Jordan Pass (look it up online and buy before you arrive, it will save you considerable amounts of cash), but I could've done with more time to see more away from the main trails. This is a place that has to be seen to be believed.

I would recommend you hunk through transport costs within Petra if you plan to use a carriage, horse, camel or donkey. This can get expensive very quickly, so plan ahead before you enter Petra.

A stop at the museum is also an absolute must. It will help you appreciate what you're seeing on a whole new level.

It's one of the best place of Jordan and no match for it. Carving of so high caves inside the rocks is amazing. It's 2000 year old piece of architecture which is worth to visit once in lifetime.
Only issue is a person has to walk a lot or pay more for pony rides. Take very good walking shoes because there are steps, rocks, and sand to negotiate.
It's a must visit place in life.
