Consistently wonderful, welcoming place in Kobarid. Marie continues to update the charming apartments. It feels like home and is a wonderful place to come back to. Waling distance to the centre of town with its museums, bars and restaurants.

Very nice right in the center of city where all the resturants and bar are.
Four stars cause internet was the slowest I ever seen.
But the room got full functional kitchen, and free parking less than a min away.

We arrived here at about 8pm and it was just getting dark. The front of the house is directly on the street and the outside paintwork has suffered accordingly. It really didn't look very appealing. Unfortunately, Marie could not be there to greet us and instead a young girl took us to the room, didn't even switch the lights on and promptly told us she had to leave there and then! We went back to our car to collect our luggage feeling pretty down. However, once we got into the room and put the lights on we began to see the charm of the place and all its practical benefits. First of all, it was very clean. The kitchen area was very well equipped and the bathroom was modern with a really good shower. The bed also proved to be comfortable and there was a very effective ceiling fan. The kitchen/bedroom was all very charming with exposed beams, part of the wall left as the original stonework, and a small wood stove, all overlooking a courtyard garden. We weren't quiteso keen that the table on the communal terrace was placed right by our window but it was nice to meet other residents and to chat. We met Marie the next morning and she was apologetic that she hadn't been able to meet us herself. She was full of information and ideas for the sort of things we might like to do. In particular we enjoyed a lovely walk in the Soca Valley beside the river which Marie recommended. We also enjoyed our breakfast in the garden on the second morning. All this and free wi-fi! Hemingway House offers great charm with all the benefits of mod cons at pleasingly modest prices.

Room Tip: Our room on the second floor at the back of the house was very quiet.

We stayed there for 2 nights, great little B&B. The rooms are big, with good bed, own kitchen, very clean and a really great price. We stay at the back of the property so very peaceful and every morning breakfast was served on the terrace outside of our room which was a great way to start the day. Marie the owner is also fantastic, very friendly and with great knowledge of the area and where to visit. If you are looking to stay in this area this great little B&B is highly recommended

Room Tip: Room at the back property upstairs are very peaceful and a great place to have your breakfast

The best place where you can stay in Kobarid! Amazing rooms, personal and kitchen with possibility to make your own italiano coffee. U are gonna love it. Also possible to buy a breakfast (6€) and eat it in garden or your room.
