Managed by WorldMark, these two-bedroom condos meet WorldMark quality standards. Downstairs in each unit is the full kitchen, half-bath, and living area with gas fireplace and a Murphy bed. In January, we needed that fireplace to keep the downstairs warm. Upstairs are the two bedrooms and full bath. The forced-air furnace did heat the downstairs, but heat rises, and downstairs was usually cooler.
WorldMark operates an outdoor hot tub and seasonal pool. They have an agreement with the homeowner's association of the adjacent North Shore Estates for timeshare guests to use their outdoor hot tub and pool. Their pool was open in January, but not heated. Polar bear club anyone?
Bass Lake itself (an easy walk from the condos) is beautiful. Water sports are more available there in summer. It's on the path to the south entrance of Yosemite.
Any Sierra snowfall will leave at least a few inches of snow on the ground. But at an elevation of 3400', you'll likely need to wait only a day or so for all the roads in the area to be drivable in an ordinary car without chains.
The resort was very quiet and well-maintained. They're building a new lounge area at the office.
The tennis courts are for use by North Shore Estates residents only. Perhaps you could negotiate the OK to use them.
My wife has limited mobility, so our unit was a short walk and two low steps up from the parking area. But my wife never climbed the stairs, so used the Murphy bed and never the bath/shower.
As WorldMark TravelShare members, our WiFi was free, and excellent. Otherwise, there is a fee.
